Had a little hiccup for a week or two. I think it was a Chrome-related problem. Did an emergency upgrade to the browser and the problem went away. As to the product, 95% of the time, it does an excellent job of clipping a web page to OneNote. A few websites I visit are a little finicky with their clipping, but I suspect it's more on their side of the web.

It stopped working, please fix it

Currently no longer functions at all -- This blocks me from doing web research. Web Clipper fails when attempting to log-in to a (paid) Microsoft account . It DOES appear to allow log-in to a "Work" account, but I need Microsoft account clipping. I found that an alternative -- Obsidian Notes and their web clipper does seem to work. Not my desired work-around to dump OneNote, since I have almost 1/2 TB of OneNote notes history -- it's a big change of ecosystem . But I'm exploring the change to Obsidian since I'm blocked from progress.

It has stopped working providing a login loop, asking you to log in, then asking again and again and again. This problem was first reported to Microsoft in 2023. It was fixed after several months but has now reappeared. Obviously this is not stable software and doesn't appear to have much resource, otherwise it would have been fixed permanently. I'm now having to look at alternatives that can open my thousands of OneNote pages.

As others have noted, seems like it has stopped working. Won't clip from any website - deleting and reloading to see if that helps.

Not working, as it keeps loading on login screen.

I have used CLIPPER extensively for several years. It has abruptly stopped working in chrome and edge and on both of my laptops. if I click CLIPPER, it asks to sign in to MS Account. But a window flashes and then it asks to sign in to MS Account again. Reloading, uninstalling Chrome, renewing Credentials, and many other things did NOT work. Chat GPT thinks this is a bug between the authentication CLIPPER expects and current PIN based authentication. This is very unpleasant for me because my whole business is built around knowledge management and project management in ONE NOTE, depending on CLIPPER. There are some other user reports now in March 2026 - CLIPPER abruptly fails and cannot be made to log in.

It just quit. Just spins.

I don't understand how a rating higher than 4 can exist if the product doesn't work, just like OneDrive on Android and other Microsoft products. It's completely non-met its description. It simply doesn't do anything; it freezes and does nothing. Microsoft attracts people to use its products and then stops supporting them, and they practically stop working completely. This applies to all MS products; they become simply extremely unreliable.

It stopped working a few days ago. When I try to use it, sign-in screen keeps showing up even after sign-in. This happens any browser, including Chrome, Edge, Opera, Ecosia, and Comet. The same thing had happened before and eventually the error resolved with doing nothing. I hope it works again soon. I love this extension and can't live without it.

Works well. Note, when changing versions of OneNote, this extension also needs to be removed and reinstalled to sync with the newer version.

Great app for getting work done, and I like it, but our live team syncs were still a mess, no clear focus and no final decisions. Instead of migrating to some massive new meeting platform, we just installed the Minute Minder extension. It pulls data right from the calendar to draft an agenda that you can share with attendees before or during the meeting. During the call, it gives you calm control with a visible timer and milestone cues. At the end, it nudges you to lock in decisions with an outcome card. No extra logins, just perfectly time-boxed meetings.

The app is very erratic. It required third-party cookies and pop-ups to work. It used to work well. However, now it is extremely unstable, crashing and not working at all. I recommend a different app.

Interface is a little clunky compared to Evernote, but with Evernote's prices going up *again*, I'm giving OneNote a shot and so far I'm happy with it.

I tried to do this years ago and it was not very good. I recently tried it again and it works pretty well! So far it has done everything I need.

I have used it since it first came out. Absolutely my go to Pensive, ala HPotter. LOL. If only Microsoft and kept Inksein...the only thing better.
Jimmy Jiang
it's a must have for daily use, for my investment study.

Works really well in Chrome on my Mac. Really easy to capture articles, recipes, etc. and organise so that I can find them again. Also great to be able to access on all my devices and to be able to share with others. I use OneDrive also and the Microsoft software suite (Word, Excel). This is my favourite of all and the one I would miss the most if I couldn't have it.

I recently decided to switch to OneNote for personal use over Evernote which I'd had for over a decade. When EN decided to double their prices I decided to jump ship, since I was already paying a Microsoft 365 subscription that included OneNote. During those decades I was simultaneously using 1N at work; I was comfortable with the interface and interoperability across Mac and PC. After all the effort I'm about to describe, here's hoping MS decides to put a bit of effort into OneNote and not round-file it all together! Here's where I think improvements can be made. First, the web clipper for IOS is no bueno. Second, let me format notes in IOS with styles. Third, make styles modifiable like in Word. Fourth, offer import functionality for common applications. Fifth, tighten the interface in small ways like expand/collapse all Workbooks. That would do it for me. I found that a kind soul created a helper app to port notes from EN to 1N. I appreciate the effort despit the klunky way HTML formatting from one to the other causes frequent crashes of 1N. Let's just say that the AppData Cache for 1N has never been cleaner. But I slogged through and now I'm using 1N exclusively for personal note taking.

OneNote Web Clipper works well, however it would be useful if Microsoft put a little effort into updating the clipper as follows: Clipping articles from a diverse variety of newspapers, magazines, and websites is a hit-or-miss proposition. As a result, the process can become time-consuming when trying to clip an article that requires manual formatting. I gather that Microsoft is attempting to make Copilot more useful for users. If Microsoft were to enable OneNote Web Clipper with Co-Pilot "Intelligence", It could be very useful, indeed. Copilot is perfectly capable of analyzing any article and determining how to re-create the format in one note, without all the advertising and visual clutter present on the live site. Most people that save articles need cleanly formatted, visually decluttered, easy-to-read content. It becomes especially important if in the future OneNote introduces the capability to be a utilized as a consumer-friendly, easy to implement data store for AI models.

I am so happy that this is back up and working again! I really missed it and was searching for an alternative that would work even half as well....but had no luck. I was thrilled to see that the latest Windows update included a fix for it, and I'm back to clipping everything easily again.

Perfect Only wish it could organize pictures in article clipping better
Marwan Attieh
Great, but it lacks a lot of quick features, better than Keep, but not as good as Evernote.
Coach Brander
It clips okay, but finding where it then stored the clip. That's not so easy.
