AdBlocker Ultimate is a free extension that blocks ads and malicious domains known to spread malware; it also disables sneaky tracking. We have extensive filters that filter against annoying display and video ads (including YouTube).
Unlike other ad blockers, we do not have “acceptable ads” or an advertiser whitelist (i.e. certain advertisers pay to bypass ad filters). Blocking ads has the added benefit of speeding up browsing because filtering out ads reduces CPU and memory usage.
AdBlocker Ultimate allows you to easily accept ads from websites you choose, in cases where you want to give advertising credit to certain trusted websites.

- about 6 month ago it was blocking all adds on youtube, and other websites but after some youtube update,youtube is able to find that i am using an adblocker and i have to turn off adblocker some times and now the warning to turn off adblocker is not showing, its good but its blocking only around 7 out of 10 adds on yt that not bad but not that good

- Removing one star as we still see youtube ads. I had to go into extension setting and enable fannyboys list to remove ads from youtube.

- I have been using this extension for several years on Firefox and on Chrome, and it works quite well. I experience almost no ads at all. Sometimes Youtube makes some changes which disrupt adblockers, but this one seems to be updated within days, sometimes within hours, to counter the changes.
