Use Internet Download Manager or another external download manager to get large files with pause, resume, and schedule support
This extension provides a reliable integration to "Internet Download Manager" from your browser. The extension offers two modes of operation:
1. Context menu items over a link, audio, video, and image element
2. Interrupt the built-in download manager and grab the downloadable job to send to the external download manager.
This extension is very lightweight on resource usage. It does not use anything when the network observer is disabled.
A user can define the following conditions to call the external download manager automatically when the extension is enabled from the toolbar area:
1. Only call when file size is larger than a defined value
2. Only call when the file-type is not in the defined list of mime-types
3. Only call when the download server supports multi-threading
Note: for this extension to operate you will need to install a native client. For this project, I am using an open-source NodeJS based native-client. You will be notified of the first usage of the installation guide. This native client is only available on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.

The only extension that worked for me on Linux! Thank you. I had to set the executable to wine and arguments to (with quotes): "/home/USERNAME/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Internet Download Manager/IDMan.exe" /d "[URL]"

Internet Download Manager - пожалуй, лучший менеджер закачек на сегодняшний день, способный ускорить загрузку в несколько раз. Вероятно, ты, как специалист, скажешь «Не надо ля-ля, у меня пицот мегабит, ничего он не ускорит!». Так-то оно так, но многие сайты ограничивают скорость на один поток, однако позволяют скачивать в несколько этих самых потоков. Понимаешь к чему я клоню? Даа, именно, твой браузер качает в один поток, а эта программа в несколько, отсюда и ускорение. Более того, IDM очень гибко настраивается, поможет скачать любимые видосики с YouTube, контактика и прочих поддерживаемых видеосервисов, имеет граббер сайтов (нет, ничего запрещённого скачать не удастся, не мечтай), расписание, ограничитель скорости и другие полезные плюшки. Я пользуюсь этой качалкой и тебе советую. Хватай скорей!
