- (2022-03-16) Paige Grasso: this extension doesn't work at all- I've closed and opened my tabs again, I've restarted my entire computer- nothing. Google Docs has some work to do bc this ain't it, I'm literally purchasing Microsoft Office as I type this bc Google Docs doesn't seem to care to cater to writers at all.
- (2022-03-16) Alexandra Libby: As far as I can tell, it does nothing?
- (2022-03-03) Ricard Argelaguet: It was useful but it does not work anymore
- (2022-03-02) Aaron Corkin: It doesn't work anymore.
- (2021-06-10) Laverré Alex: It seems very useful and it works but I didnt find a way to export the line numbers when the document were downloaded in PDF or word... there is a solution ?
- (2021-04-11) Michael Boyd: This would be a five start review but I can't figure out how to download the doc with number lines once I put number lines on the doc, specifically when downloaded to docx.
- (2021-03-28) Asja Idrizovic: The only reason I got the extension was for an important assignment that requires line numbering. While it was working in the doc itself, as soon as the document is either downloaded or shared the line numbers disappear. Therefore, they did not fulfil their one and only purpose.
- (2021-03-09) Nero FNS: Got me out of a pinch, useful little tool.
- (2021-02-28) Jaime Rene A. Castro: An okay extension, i wanted to let the number show after saving as pdf but i cant seem to get a grasp on it? It apperead when i printed as a pdf. Anyone knows how to make the number appear with just saving alone?
- (2020-11-19) Kathy Van Wagoner: Click. Click. Click and Voila! Line numbering. It's hard to believe Google didn't just make this part of Docs, but I'm thanking my lucky stars this app exists. Huge time saver for me and it more easily facilitates collaboration. THANKS!
- (2020-09-13) halenezie: I would like to be able to number lines strictly within text, it shouldn't need to number headings in my document.
- (2020-09-11) Annie Tye: I needed numbered lines, now I have them! It would be nice to have that feature built in to Google Docs, but until that happens, this works great for me.
- (2020-08-25) Denis de Castro: Very useful and works well. Thank you.
- (2020-03-24) Sebas M: very annoying that won't work if send to a colleague to open in word..
- (2020-03-17) Grify The Great: I just get a alert("The Line Numbers for Google Docs extension will not work with this document"); -mildly annoyed
- (2020-01-22) Sean Gerow: This is something docs really needs, but it doesn't work too well as is. Maybe it's the nature of an extension instead of a feature of the actual system. Whatever the reason, this isn't especially useful. Google should try to build this feature right into docs.
- (2019-12-07) Tomer Baz: I found this extension when had to write a legal document that needed lines numbers. This extension is exactly what I needed with all the necessary customizations: it allows you to number each and every line, or just every n lines, place the numbers on the left or on the right, number blank lines or not. Perfect!
- (2019-12-06) LC447: This is extremely helpful but is there a way to adjust where the line numbers start? I need to have the numbers start at my beginning of a paragraph and not at the heading or title of my paper.
- (2019-11-30) Andrew Taylor: Does not appear to work with columns in Google Docs. Looks ok, but I want to use columns.
- (2019-09-16) Pedro Portella: Impossible to put where to start or to end the counting.... it's REALY necessary
- (2019-08-19) Calvin Gadeja: The extension is good. But if there's only an option to change the color of the line numbers, it would be great.
- (2019-06-26) Tonia A. Dousay: Took me a minute to figure out that I could control how frequent the line numbers appear (Chrome dark theme that obscures the Add-on icon). I do wish I could tell it to start over on each page. Otherwise, it gets the job done.
- (2019-06-04) Konrad Hafen: Somewhat helpful, it does number lines. It would be better as a Docs add-on. That way you could adjust the settings for each specific document. The line numbers go away if you save as a PDF (you have to print) and cannot be adjusted for separate documents.
- (2019-05-20) Hazur Socconini: Thanks Pablo, You're absolutely fabulous!!.
- (2019-05-06) Carl Argent: It's good and does what it is supposed to. Withheld a star because you cannot set the font to be used for the line numbers, or it doesn't detect the font of the lines being numbers.
- (2019-02-16) Oleg C: Works great! Thank you guys! I spent bunch of time to become familiar with all the settings, but finally it works!!! Better than crappy tables for numbering
- (2019-01-17) Kerim Kits: It does not work. No line numbers show up. I've tried refreshing and reloading several times and it DOES NOT WORK. Useless.
- (2019-01-15) Mikołaj Czarnecki: When exporting the file to PDF, the line numbering disappears
- (2018-11-26) Lauren Huen: iz bad );
- (2018-11-14) Jason Currie: This would be more useful if it were designed as a Google Docs add-on instead of a Chrome extension so that it could be enabled/disabled for each document separately. It's frustrating that I either have to enable numbering for all documents or none.
- (2018-10-21) Jeff Kuperman: An absolute necessity for Google Docs. And the developer is super-responsive to suggestions.
- (2018-09-11) LunHsien Chang: Is there any possibility to change the default frequency of display line numbers for every five line? What I need is a line number displayed for every line. When you share a Google docs with people do you expect them to count?
- (2018-09-03) Ron Frazer: It simply turns on line numbers in every document. To turn them off, you have to disable the extension.
- (2018-09-03) Heather Lester: I wish it worked more reliably. I wish the numbers could be saved within a document. I wish it had more options for selecting text that would not be numbered.
- (2018-08-07) Vellu Taskila: Ei näytä toimivan. Doesn't seem to work anymore.
- (2018-07-07) Arya Kamalie: If you can't turn it on/off or change the number settings, look for an icon (3 numbered lines) beside the 3 vertical dots near the top right corner of your screen.
- (2018-05-16) David Shull: It does not appear to work - AT ALL.
- (2018-05-10) Marquise Miranda: doesn't work
- (2018-03-23) Lila: It is not possible to adjust the line numbers according to what you want to number. Usefulness really depends on which format you write essays in.
- (2018-03-21) Randy Mendoza: sucks
