This would save lot of time. Multiple file downloader facilitates the same. It scans through the web page and displays all the files, which user can download. User can select multiple files and click download. It allows user to customize what file extensions should be downloaded in the web page. The user can also add custom extensions using the options page. User can also decide whether files need to be downloaded to default folder set in Chrome browser or prompt for each file. BENEFITS FOR END USERS 1) Multi Select files in one go 2) Customise and also add your own extensions to download KNOWN ISSUE The extension scans for hyperlink across the web page. As per the design of the page, the hyperlink can be a button or image or both. So there are chances that duplicate links can appear on the extension.

  • (2021-09-23) emelie Rosberg: Doesn't work. Gives "There is no downloadable file in this webpage." so there is no point in using this addon.
  • (2020-09-17) John T: For those that say "For every file I had to click the checkbox": a "Select All" button is indeed painfully missing; but after you select one you move to right -down corner, then you drag (like in excel) to select more. I could select only files on screen, so I had to repeat for every screen. Tried Shift and Control and End combinations with no succes. Reduce the work from selecting each file (100 times) to groups of files (like 10 times). If you can deal with that and this was your only problem maybe there is some benefit of using this extension. Things get worse: "use Chrome default download location" settings ask you for each file (100 times) instead of asking once for the desired download location then download 100 files there. Ok so extension is unusable if you don't use fixed download folder location... Ignoring this just to go further, finally started download, downloaded a few files then all the rest failed; probably overwhelms the website by opening and not closing 100 connections / requests, so at some point the site denies any new connection. Do something so the website you are downloading from will not believe this is a DOS attach and shut you down! As it is now, this is a useless, annoying extension!

  • (2020-04-08) Franz Bruyere: I read all of the reviews above and wasn't sure if this would work for me or not, especially since I am using the new MS Edge (chromium version), plus this is several years old. I decided to give it a try anyway. I was looking to download several PDF files from a website (legally :) ), but Edge is very 'not-user-friendly' in this respect. You either open each PDF in a browser window/tab or download individually. There used to be addins for Firefox (pre-web extensions update) that would allow you to download multiple files (docs, PDFs, Excel, etc.) but I hadn't found one for Edge yet. Pros: Does exactly what it says it does... I selected almost all of the formats in the options (except videos), and I set the option for downloading to default all the time. I left the option for 'having to confirm' off. It downloaded a set of PDFs fine and named them correct (you can see the filenames in the right column before saving...). Cons: You have to select each file individually... if you have a short list it's not bad but longer lists will take some time. Options to multi-select (SHFT-Click or CTRL-Click, or a set of 'filters'?) would definitely make this a must-have extension. I don't see any way to contact the 'author' or I'd send constructive feedback directly to them. Really, it works it just needs a few more selection options added, as far as I can see. Keep up the good work :)
  • (2020-01-27) Manos Unidas Gerardo Alfonso: NO entendi nada, es muy complicado su reinstalación. Es un negociado según parece. Solo quiero actualizar el PDF ya que al comprar la computadora compre también con los programas.
  • (2019-12-13) megamarkd: No option for WAV files, thus useless.
  • (2019-05-04) Dan Hodge: Did what it claimed to do. If you don't want to approve the location for each file, you have to go into the settings and uncheck the box. It really needs a better way to select multiple files (CTRL-Click, Select All, SHIFT-Click).
  • (2018-11-30) Vaszkó György: Fake
  • (2018-08-14) Shawn Majette: Does nothing.
  • (2018-07-25) Narinee Datretsamee: ดีมากๆ
  • (2018-07-22) mi rek: bs, doesn't work. Can't even detect a single jpg let alone scan for multiple... "There is no downloadable file in this webpage."
  • (2018-07-15) Denis M8v: I tried to download 200+ files. 1. For every file I had to tick the checkbox - there's no select all buton! 2. For every file this extention showed "Save as.." dialog box - 200 dialog boxes!!! The extension is absoluely useless!
  • (2018-06-11) Rita: Does nothing for me.
  • (2018-06-08) nathalie nattnatt: Doesn't detect the files. Doesn't work
  • (2018-05-15) Guilherme Augusto: Único prático e organizado
  • (2018-04-20) Wen Rolland: Rien d'automatique...

  • (2018-01-04) Philip Goetz: So close, and yet so far. First, this extension simply does not work (in Win 7) because when you try to download multiple files, it pops up a "save location" dialogue for each of the many files, and none of these dialogues works. I don't know how the extension could screw up the Windows "save as" interface, yet it has. Choosing folders doesn't work; scrolling the scrollbar doesn't work. Whatever you do switches between folders and pop-up windows at random. Second, even if that worked, this app is unhelpful because you still need to select each download manually. prabhushan, thanks, but look at DownThemAll! for Firefox. Everybody wants DownThemAll! for Chrome. That is what everyone has been saying for years now. Nobody has implemented DownThemAll for chrome. You are so close! But you need the filter capability, that lets you choose which extensions to select for downloading by default. Without that, it's little better than going thru the original web page and clicking on everything. ADDED: For more than a year, almost every reviewer has made the same complaints. The extension's author obviously doesn't read the reviews.
  • (2017-11-21) Robert Bryan: horrilbe doesn't work. its so stupid.
  • (2017-09-28) ayhan kılınç: There is no "select all" button....
  • (2017-08-02) Hussein Akere: This extension is great but the save location is not set by default. Also, to avoid prompting each file to download to a location, choose the option 'Always Save Files to default location set in Google Chrome'. When all is set, the extension works like charm. I downloaded over 900 pdf files. The 'Select All' would also be very helpful if added.
  • (2017-07-13) ruslan smirnov: This extension is so dumb that it opens the file save dialog multiple times asking you to set the save path for each file again and again. It simply doesn't save your time, it wastes it.
  • (2017-06-30) Hugo Kerstens: You first need to click all boxes to download the files. Afterwards you have to confirm to save them each individually. It doesn't respect the filename send in the header, so dynamically generated files will all have the same name, not the filename from the header...
  • (2017-06-23) Never got round to testing whether it works, because it doesn't have a 'select all' button - so you still have to click every file you want to download. Defeats the object.
  • (2017-06-21) Robert Gillett: No problem with a whole page full of files at once. I only wanted pdfs, so maybe the reason it worked for me is that I first selected Options (at bottom of download list) and deselected everything but pdf.
  • (2017-06-02) Robert Buna: I was able to download max. 8 files at once. After that I had to restart Chrome for another download to work. Missing the "Select All" checkbox.
  • (2017-05-30) Иван Золотарев: dont have select all button
  • (2017-05-17) Larry Hamelin: Missing select all, does not change default directory to last selected, cannot follow folders.
  • (2017-04-19) Caleb Stanford: The first fatal flaw this suffers from is having to manually click a checkmark for each file you want to download. OK, not the worst thing in the world -- I just have to click through all the 20+ checkmarks. But this also kinda defeats the purpose of having such an extension in the first place. Secondly -- after all that work clicking through the checkmarks -- it just doensn't work. It downloads only 1 file, after asking for a location (when it was supposed to download them all to Downloads, in settings. It can't even do what it was supposed to do.
  • (2017-02-26) Jesús Alejandro Marín Calzada: Doesn't have an option to "Select all" so you end up clicking on every file you want to save.
  • (2017-01-24) Geosylva Telepor: This extension is fake. Does not work, dont waste your time
