• (2023-10-15) Joel Thomas: There seem to be a lot of harsh reviews for this, probably because people expect "Group Your Tabs" from 2015 to work something like Chrome's more current day "Tab Groups" feature and API. It doesn't. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. At least for me, I do find certain use-cases where this form of "grouping" (maybe read this as: "combination" or "compression" or "consolidation" etc instead for clarity?) is beneficial and has a particular place in my workflow. For those complaining about the fact that this extension CLOSES tabs.. well, yeah. It's pretty obvious when you look at the first 2 screenshots alone. The first shows 13 tabs open, and in the second (i.e. after icon click invokes the extension and it does it's magic) only 2 tabs remain - one of which says 7 wikipedia tabs were "grouped" and 6 from microsoft as well. If you'd rather keep them open but slap a color label on them and minimized, stick with Chrome's newer and native feature. Whatever floats your boat. I genuinely see no issue utilizing both approaches at various points of time depending on the situation, how many tabs I have open, how much memory I want to save, what is or isn't a priority right now, and other such considerations of that kind. Oh and as for those suggesting that there's absolutely no way to resurrect lost tabs that are gone forevermore into the eternal depths of the cosmic ether or whatever such nonsense, um, there is a "Restore all saved groups" button in the options page. So even if you closed those "grouped" (read: "combined") tabs, or your whole window containing them closed, or your whole browser crashed and you reopen to a blank new empty canvas, or even if you happen to un/re install this extension, or whatever other such scenario -- all the data saved by the extension can still be restored. Just... hit the "Restore" button. And voila, your "grouped" (read: "zipped") tabs are brought back to the fore. From there, just delete or open individual items from those lists, or use the buttons at the bottom of those pages to open them all in the current window or in a new one. For those complaining it takes all data with it to the grave upon uninstallation, that's pretty much how all chrome extensions work so it's a moot and pointless point to rage against the high heavens about. Install it (or any other extension for that matter) again and chrome-extension://unique-id-here/url-path-here will work once again. Which is why my prior tip about using /options.html URL to bring back all your old /group?website.com tabs works, even if your closed those tabs, windows, browser crashed, computer crashed, extension uninstalled, etc. Just reinstall, access those URLs, restore your data, then delete the extension if you don't want to use it anymore. But it's not broken or malicious, in any sense of those words. For those complaining about it digging all the websites out of your history, I've no clue what you're talking about. I mean, what I said just prior in the last paragraph is probably what's happening (i.e. chrome-extension://chaoejepfhlcelgpicelfccoiojpiofn/ URLs no longer work once it's uninstalled - so all the website/tabs "grouped" within are now also unable to be viewed) is probably what's happening, but on the off chance any of your are suggesting this extension is malicious and mines data, you're going way over the line with unfounded speculative rumors. Show the reciepts or chill out. For those also pointing to all the permissions required and using that to suggest it monitors E V E R Y T H I N G that you do on your browser - it's from 2015, Chrome's standards were different then and are more restrictive now, that's all. I'm certain that if this extension were re-written today almost a full decade later by Chrome's 2023 "Manifest Version 3" spec and standard it'd only require minimal permissions. Still, considering the fact that it seems to only utilize the chrome.tabs (developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/tabs) chrome.storage (developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/storage) and chrome.contextMenu (developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/contextMenus) APIs in order to function, I'd say it's a fairly streamlined and straightforward little app. But if y'all are still intent on crying wolf, feel free to show the actual code or telemetry evidence which demonstrates how it's spying on your and sharing your info to china or evil corp or whatever, otherwise these vacuous but suggestive insinuations and baseless assertions remain unconvincing.

Для отмены группировки одним кликом, по типу того как и группировать - тоже не нашел. Восстановить ВСЁ в исходное состояние - геморное дело! В общем, только время потратил зря, и сделал БАРДАК со всеми открытыми вкладками... благо, перестраховался другими более адекватными расширениями, и сохранил сессии, хоть ими восстановил всё в один клик НОРМАЛЬНО! ИМХО: По принципу... Детская китайская игрушка!

• (2018-12-05) Ben Wren: WARNING: BOOKMARK ALL YOUR TABS, NOW! Are you kidding me? Ok, this extension did group my tabs together, as soon as I turned it on, without any option to select which types of grouping I wanted to apply (I didn't want to apply them ALL).. and then WOULD NOT RESTORE those groups to their individual tabs when requested. On the latest version info, it said that a feature had been added to restore tabs when disabling the extension, but when I disabled the extension to do this, all the grouped tabs disappeared completely. So I started off with LOTS of important tabs that I needed to try and organise better, and this extension deleted them all. I managed to restore about half of them by going through my history, but the rest are gone forever. AVOID THIS EXTENSION if you value your tabs.

If not then ability to sort based on either link itself or description stored against href. Scrolling thru 10 or 20 links is simple enough - make it 100 and your in my range.
• (2018-04-09) Виктор Морс: расширением можно пользоваться только из принципа "лучше, чем ничего". при группировке табов самое главное это возможность группировать выбранные табы. очень неудобно, когда группируются все открытые табы. мне не нужна группировка по домену. наоборот, чаще требуется группировать в одну группу табы разных сайтов. либо, например, нужно несколько табов с одного сайта сгруппировать в две группы, а не в одну.

Le falta que las pestañas fijadas también se agrupen, cosa que yo utilizo mucho aunque igual a partir de ahora ya lo manejaré de otra forma. Agrupa las pestañas en una ventana nueva y yo buscaba que las pestañas se pegaran unas a otras para ahorrar espacio y que luego al seleccionar ese grupo se desplegaran para seleccionar una. Aun así me parece que esta, si no encuentro la otra forma, es bastante buena. PRO: agrupa las pestañas y ahorras espacio. CONTRA: las agrupa en una nueva pestaña en formato lista por lo que si quieres acceder a una de ellas tienes que cargar de nuevo la página.

Сегодня когда зашел сюда, он написал что оно не установлено, я нажал установить, думал оно обновит старое, НО. пи...й накрылось около 200 вкладок!! Бл... обидно!!! 1. Нужна возможность архива для последующего восстановления. Очень НУЖНА. 2.Почему то на архивных вкладках одного сайта то показывает значёк сайта, то показывает, значек программы. 3. Видимо функция редко используемые приводит, к созданию папок с дублями, ссылок из папок с одним сайтом. причем довольно большого размера, приходится ковыряться в ручную. Ну в общем приложение нравиться! Если бы была функция архива и восстановления, все было бы шикарно. А ТАК ЗАНИМАЮСЬ Х... Поставил onetab этой прогой делаю папки а онетабом архив Для подстраховки.

• (2017-02-21) Nyk Zukowski: Immediately uninstalled after one use. The extension functions, but not as expected. I have 12 pinned tabs, 6 of which are YouTube music mixes I have pulled up, pinned, and suspended using The Great Suspender. I also had 14 additional tabs in the same Chrome window (mixed suspended/unsuspended). I shift-clicked the 6 youtube videos to select them all, clicked the extension button to group (what I thought would only be) those YouTube tabs. The extension grouped 0 of the YouTube tabs and instead grouped 10 of my unpinned tabs as a group, starting from the first unpinned tab on the left to the 10th tab, all closed and grouped into a single, unpinned tab. Expected behavior was to only group the multiple (pinned) tabs selected by shift-clicking. Whether the new tab would be pinned or unpinned was not given preference. Otherwise, the tabs that it did group work just fine. Clean-looking and easy to use, just didn't work right with pinned tabs or possibly as a result of incompatibility with my setup (which I have not thoroughly troubleshot to diagnose). This would be a great plugin if the (supposed) bug is fixed. Maybe you can't even do this functionality with pinned tab. Not sure. Will change my review if an updated version fixes the issue to function as I expected or if I give this a spin on a vanilla Chrome install for clicks and giggles.

  (i accidentaly posted this on the regular feedback section, delete it if necesary" i dont know if its a bug or what but lost 150+ pages basically i had a grouped tab with about 150+ pages pinned the for a moment, and had other 4 pages of the same domain open, i clicked the button to group them and they grouped on a new "set" for the domain but when i clicked the one i had pinned(it wasnt accepting new pages when pinned) it automattically reloaded into a copy of the "new" one i had jut grouped for that domain... i had previously, without letting me to get back to the previous version of the tab basically makign me lose all 150+

  когда открыты несколько окон, и в первом из них уже сгруппированы вкладки по конкретному домену, то когда во втором окне по этому же домену группируешь окна, то содержимое группировки первого окна перезаписывается содержимым второго окна. пример: алиэкспресс, была постоянная группировка с десятками интересных вкладок, не хватало места и открыл второе окно, и тоже несколько вкладок магазина, нажимаю группировку, ожидая одного из РАЗУМНЫХ ДЕЙСТВИЙ- либо дополнение группировки в первом окне(предпочтительней), либо независимой группировки в окне втором, но теряю всё, когда содержимое первой группировки замещается(а не дополняется) содержимым второй. уверен, что не я первый об этом сообщаю, а значит ты забил на это расширение. но может перед тем, как совсем кануть в лету, сделаешь вот это небольшое усилие, человечества ради? ;) бо все остальные расширения такого плана- убожество

  Would like to perform sorts (Up/Dn) of links grouped. I believe there are duplicate tabs that are being kept separately which makes the entire list much longer. Sorting would provide ability to quickly find and eliminate them. Also ability to export pages would be nice however this can be done manually by performing save as.

  Could it be done to add an option just to group tabs of one domain? Right now, if you group all and have "group by domain" activated, you get your groups by domain, but all domains are taken. I'd like to see an option "group this domain" in contextual menu or maybe as option "group only tabs with domain of current tab", which would mean that all tabs get grouped which are the same as the one of the tab where you activated grouping.

  Why if I have two separate browsers open then I click the group your tab button It will overwrite my previous group tabs of a particular domain? There's needs to be a fix to prevent the the previous group tabs from being overwritten..
