  • (2021-11-24) Nguyên Vũ: It's easy to use , but it can not block messenger :(
  • (2021-10-17) Klyvn Selma: It really worked. I tried logging in to my FB and Twitter account and this extension does what it advertise us. However, I just want to know how do I exempt some websites from being blocked? I also need to access Youtube for educational purposes. Thank you.
  • (2021-08-11) Amir: WHAT A PLUGIN!!!! I have ADD and this helped me so much focusing on my most important stuff! Thanks mate!
  • (2021-08-07) Anthony Wagner: I have a ~terrible habit: I work at a desktop computer, and use Facebook Messenger to keep in contact with basically everyone. Unfortunately, I've managed to get my brain to habitually click over to Facebook every time I reply to a message. So, dozens of times a day, I find myself mindless scrolling Facebook, needlessly wasting hours of valuable time. Today, I was digging around for a simple plugin that could stop this, and this plugin is PERFECTION. A single click to toggle it on or off, a customizable list of sites to block, and that's it! It's simplicity itself, and it just works. Now I can use messenger.com for messaging, and then prevent wasting hours scrolling my Facebook feed. It's effective and effortless and I'm _living_ for it. Thanks very much to the dev!
  • (2021-08-03) Milcah: Minimalist. Easy to use.
  • (2021-07-14) Reza Ghasemzadeh: best
  • (2021-06-16) Mylee Sketches: I really like this extension, and I haven't used Instagram or YouTube in days! The only thing that I really don't like is that you can turn it off and on easily. I put this extension on my brother's computer so he would stop watching YouTube while doing school, and I tried to trick him by saying that the only way you could turn it off was by entering the password that only I had, but he caught on quickly, and while looking at his history, found out that he has been watching gaming videos and not doing school. My recommendation is that when first use it, you have to enter a (4 digit) password. Then next time you want to turn it off, you have to enter the password. I don't think you would need the password to turn the blocker on though.👍🏽
  • (2021-05-12) Alexander Roussak: Exactly the thing I was looking for, thanks, 5 stars and good luck
  • (2021-04-18) Duy Nguyễn Công: Simple, yet effective!
  • (2021-03-08) Артур Камышанов: Самое лучшее. Не просто блокирует с картинкой блокировки а не загружает. Если бы сделать список более 20 - было бы бесценно.
  • (2020-12-14) LAKSHAY SHARMA: helps in getting out of social addiction
  • (2020-09-27) Caio Henrique // Mago das Rima: resistir desgasta a força de vontade, e a minha FV agradece !!!
  • (2020-09-23) Scott Turner: Great no-nonsense extension that helps me stop mindlessly browsing social media while working. My only criticism is the inability to add more than 20 sites.
  • (2020-08-09) Ladislav Výsmek: Awesome
  • (2020-07-14) Abhineeth Maity: Please increase the number of websites that can be blocked.
  • (2020-06-25) Lance Jordan: It worked great. Now it doesn't work at all. No idea why. Fix it please?
  • (2020-02-05) Arshana Rajaratnam: Excellent idea, would be brilliant if a time limit could be added so once clicked you can not undo it for the amount of time that its set to :)
  • (2020-01-27) G F: Great idea, just wish there was a locked/timer feature so when you do turn it on there's an option to not be able to disable it for a certain period of time.
  • (2020-01-08) Astrid Ramdin: Thank you! This is exactly what I needed :)
  • (2019-12-19) Dylen Puig: If you're like me you have your chrome browser set to open where you left off. If you're open on a social media page when you install this blocker, like I was, then you have just locked yourself out of your chrome browser. I'm lucky I was fast enough to open a no-social media tab before it closed me out again.
  • (2019-10-25) N B: Easiest blocker to use! Works perfectly, you can also add any website you need!
  • (2019-09-13) Myah Wolfer: Super helpful, helps me so much. It would be great if we could set a timer that doesn't allow us to turn off the block until the timer is up. For example, if I want to sit down and work for 4 hours, it would be great if I could set the extension to run without me able to turn it off for 4 hours straight. Just a suggestion, but as is it is very helpful!
  • (2019-09-04) Steve Bagienski: If you're a "tab-rat" like me, it can be a bit annoying because it closes the tab that you try going to social media on. This means that if you have a certain website open (i.e. that you need for work) and go to fb via that tab...you can no longer get back the original tab unless you disable it. I saw a review saying that the functionality to modify which tabs it closes was added....but even after an update, I couldnt find the option anyway. Otherwise, seems to work fine
  • (2019-08-19) PISdzielce -: Idiotic extension. Instead of blocking the url, it closes also the tab or the whole browser if you have only one tab opened. TRASH.
  • (2019-08-07) rwsbrwsb: Great tool and able to add custom websites - BBC sport is my kryptonite so it was great I could add it to the blocked list. One feature idea I think would be really useful - could you add a setting that stops you from switching work-mode off for a pre-specified time? Example, I could set a N min 'lock' that means once I set work-mode I can't switch it off again until the specified time has elapsed.
  • (2019-06-03) Ollie Pateras: Don't normally write reviews, but it was exactly what I was looking for! really great.
  • (2019-05-23) Sidou Mahmoud: please add other social networks such linkedin and gmail or keep this configurable.
  • (2019-05-23) Pratik Khadka: Best App to work with up to the point. Simply Great Go To Option > Add Website > Save !!! Boom its blocked .!!!
  • (2019-05-01) Richard Nicholl: Excellent, simple extension. Does exactly what it says on the tin. One-click operation super helpful, avoids complication and temptation to game the system as in more complex extensions and apps (e.g. StayFocusd). Will appeal to those whose spirit is willing but flesh is weak.
  • (2019-04-02) ちんエミリー: Simple and helps me stay more productive. I have a bad habit of opening Facebook whenever I feel bored or tired. It's not even that I WANT to use Facebook, it's just that I somehow end up on it, scrolling through the feed and get extremely distracted. So having something that prevents me from using it is very helpful. It's also nice that you can add your own websites to block by right-clicking the icon and going to options. Thank you!
  • (2019-01-18) Seth Baker: Simple extension and exactly what I was looking for. It really helps with the habit of popping open Reddit/Facebook/etc. when there's a free second when I should really be doing something else. Super easy to turn off for when there's something actually productivity-related on social media or when the work day is over. Thanks for the extension!
  • (2018-10-11) rohit nayak: simple no nonsense effective extension.
  • (2018-09-29) Vicente Puche: [email protected]
  • (2018-08-10) Hubert Lewandowski: Simple & Great
  • (2018-08-06) M E: it didn't work
  • (2018-05-09) Zack Wagner: This is a great product. I just wish I could add more sites into it. I know it's coming in future updates. It really boosted my productivity.
  • (2018-04-23) Thomas Bunting: does not block messenger.com
  • (2018-04-06) Phil V: works as advertised, does what I wanted.
  • (2018-04-01) Ladies Corner: cool
  • (2018-03-17) Rajendra Dubey: not blocking social sites
  • (2018-02-20) Works well. Could be improved by requiring a typing test or other step before allowing extension to be toggled off.
  • (2017-10-15) Michelle Young: Doesn't block instagram
  • (2017-09-07) Crazy Information: good

  • (2019-05-14, v:3.0.0) Uzair Raza: Closes Chrome
Hi, Its Uzair. I really like this app but I am facing an issue. Let's say I have just one tab open and I try to open a social media site, what it does it close the tab and of course when there are no tabs left, chrome closes completely. Is there way that it closes a tab and open a homepage instead of completely closing the chrome? Regards
  • (2018-11-17, v:3.0.0) Dyrell Hicks: Can't open Chrome after this...
Love the idea, but I had a big problem. Assuming mine is working properly, and the extension closes the tab when you attempt to go to a social media site- this happened to me: I was testing it and I have chrome set to open the last page(s) visited. Since twitter was the last I tried to visit, it would open and immediately close! Seems odd because I thought the extension required re-enabling every time you opened the browser. But perhaps it thinks the last page was "closing down", dunno- I'm not a programmer but that happened to me. Fortunately I have several computers and went to a different machine and the extension wasn't there yet, so I removed it. Easy work around- just open to a consistent home page. Don't know if I want to use it in a work environment though, it would be bad if it propagated to all computers and I couldn't open the browser. JUST CHECKED-- Bad news is- apparently it is not using the extension to close down immediately, because after removing the extension and adding a plain start up page, I went back tot he first computer and it is still shutting down as soon as it starts. :(

Works really well except it shuts off when I close the browser and re-open
  • (2018-05-16, v:2.0.0) michele mateus: Turned on but not working
Hi, I have turned onto workmode but I still get notifications from social media - how do I make this block everything?
  • (2018-05-16, v:2.0.0) Some adivices
Hi, it is a great tool that helps me increase my efficiency. However, I am a user from China, so, can you add some chinese social media website in your tool? If you want, I can send you a list which maintain some of chinese social media website.
  • (2018-04-11, v:2.0.0) Troy Metcalf: Timer
Hi, I have recently installed your extension and it works great! Just wondering if there could be a timer option? For example, setting a 30min timer would allow me to smash out as much work within that time frame then like a 5min social media scroll before blocking again.
  • (2018-03-26, v:2.0.0) Bjarke Mønsted: Include quora and/or custom urls?
Really nice extension, but I'm missing an option to block Quora, or, even better, since people waste time on different things, just a text field where one could enter a list of custom urls to block.
  • (2018-03-11, v:2.0.0) Adam Kedert: Include
As several have said before, Instagram would be good to include in the block. Also sites like messenger.com (aka Facebook messengers own webpage) it's like a gateway drug
  • (2018-02-14, v:2.0.0) Matthew McGarity: Include Instagram
Please include Instagram in your list of social media.
