Image from store Scrollbar of Contents
Description from store This extension creates clickable markers for all the headings on a page and places them proportionately on the scrollbar. The markers enable you to jump between different sections of the page and help to quickly find what you are looking for. They are especially useful when navigating long webpages. Featured in CNET, Lifehacker and Mashable. How to use: • After a page is loaded, click on the extension icon on the toolbar to display the heading markers. • Click on a marker to scroll to the corresponding section. • You can minimize, hide, or show the markers using these keyboard shortcuts: ⁃ show/hide ( Shift + Alt + v ) ⁃ minimize/maximize ( Shift + Alt + b ) • You can customize the behavior of this extension on the options page. • (2013-07-21) great scrollbar.thx
  • (2013-07-03) lyra: Good, but: => I'd like to show the full marker when clicking on the icon; => I don't like the blur and shadow, a flatter style would be nicer; => All the heading words have caps. Why that? Please add an option to turn off that.

  • (2012-01-02) Michael Whelchel: This is ridiculously great. But as a web designer, I am curious as to how you did this. Being able to do this on the websites I manage would really help users navigate my site. Obviously, I don't want you to stop developing the Chrome app, but if you could give some pointers to how one would do this using javascript (I'm assuming it's JS anyway). Thanks a lot! This is a great app :D

  • (2011-11-28) Ben Hefner: I like the functionality of this extension, but it would be even better if you could change the opacity of the markers. What's there is good, though. Thanks!
  • (2011-11-27) Drey Tee: Nice, but lacks hotkey edit.
  • (2011-11-22) Samuel Ososanya: Talk about neat and it saves you a ton of time. It's a nice alternative to control + f
  • (2011-11-22) Bulat Salmanov: I like it)) But how about change scrolling speed in settings(smooth scroll look nice, but in real work people need immediately changing position). And very good thing if you make keyboard shortcat for switching headers - it's make very comfotable reading some of forums where each message have heading )
  • (2011-11-17) Adam Cooperman: I love almost everything about this extension except for something I've noticed with horizontal scroll. It seems like when scrolling to the right height in the page it also scrolls all the way to the right. I would much prefer it to not move the horizontal scroll at all, or possibly to move it to the start of the text of the detected header.
