Description from extension meta

An extension that gives you precise control of Chrome's native media player.

Image from store Media Controller
Description from store The Chrome browser includes native support for several media formats, such as mp3 audio and webm video. This is very useful as it allows for streaming of audio and video in the browser without the need to download the whole file, and without using a plugin. However, the built in media controls can be very imprecise, especially with longer files such as podcasts. Media Controller solves this issue by providing buttons and keyboard shortcuts that skip by increments of five seconds and up. Please rate and review! Changes: 10/20/13 v0.21: Added default volume level setting. 10/1/13 v0.2: Added keyboard shortcuts. 8/3/13 v0.1: Initial publish.

  • (2016-12-07) This serves my purpose well and a great improvement over the crappy built-in player. I agree with Emmanuel in that key mapping would be a great addition, particularly to jump backwards and forwards in the audio playback. Clicking those buttons gets a bit tedious after a while. It would be nice to have options to speed up or slow down the audio too if it could be done.

  • (2014-08-08) Good, but may you add button "play speed" (x1, x1.25, x1.5, x1,75, x2) for listen podcast
  • (2013-09-08) Emmanuel Tsapekis: Totally awesome! Great to pair with chromecast! Only wish keyboard mapping was a possibility instead of having to use mouse

I am looking for a media player which works for mp4 movie. Movies with extension mp4 are reportedly can be seen on iPod、iPhone、PSP、Walkman、Nokia etc. I put a movie on my homepage but I cannot see the page on this Google Chrome. The url of the page is http://homepage3.nifty.com/koremi/Septtop/ Please assist me to get a media-player that works as an additional function on the sites with movies with extension mp4. I will recommend the player to friends of mine in Japan. Thank you for reading of my question.
  • (2013-09-08, v:0.1) Emmanuel Tsapekis: Control with keyboard
The controls are very useful when paired with the chromecast. The only thing that would make it even better is if you could map keyboard buttons to each of the forward/backwards buttons. That is a total must, and only a small addition on what you already have set up.
