• (2023-12-07) Martin Android: Was a great extension, however it no longer works for me. For some reason when I connect to a UK server with NordVPN it shows that the server is in the US. Worked well until a week or so ago. Shame, I've been using this extension for years. :( Edit: Tried this extension again because it is the only extension I can find which used to do what I needed. Aykut, still doesn't work for me. Using NordVPN it says the server is in the US when in fact I'm connected to a GB server.

• (2019-10-12) neuralvibes: Ten stars out of five from me! A plugin without competition for those who need geolocation! After frustratingly going through 20+ different "display IP" and "geolocation" extensions, I've finally found a geolocation extension that's designed with basic common sense in mind! I would give this extension ten stars if I could, because it's apparently the only geolocation extension in the entire Chrome web store that shows you your country location directly on the extension icon, without any need to navigate with clicking or scrolling to get to this basic information. This is, needless to say, important for anyone using VPN:s or proxy servers. All other geolocation extensions either require you to click the icon to show country data or they show the website's country flag instead of yours... Having possible future improvements in mind, it would be great to see the country flag alongside the country letter code in the icon, in place of the static globe (or have the globe colored in the colors of the country flag). And it wouldn't hurt to also have the IP address appear in the icon highlight text instead of the name of the extension. That would make an already great extension close to perfect!
• (2019-10-02) Sun Kim: Without having to open the extension to see your IP, it tells you what country the IP belongs to. This is great way to check if your HTTP/HTTPS proxy is working correctly or not (if you use a different country). This is the only extension I found that was able to correctly identify where the IP address was. Many extensions seem to be confused with the IP geolocation.

  Hi! Hallo! das mit IPv6 hat ja bestens geklappt! Herzlichen Dank dafür! so,meine Bitte, mein Vorschlag: einfach eine zweite App, die nicht die LänderDomain, sondern die Flagge anzeigt....mmmmhhhmmm....das wäre absolut genial! und, bitte, eine kleine Option für die ReFresh-Rate....wäre das Klasse! kein anderes AddOn kann das, was soooooo schnell Ihr Add-On kann! absolut genial! gerade bei VPN eine sehr sehr sichere Sache und exakte Info! klar, so ein paar IP von diversen VPN-Anbietern, die kriegen Sie wohl nicht hin, immer nur "ERR" an Ihrem Icon....obwohl andere AddOns ("where am I...") eine Flagge anzeigen....aber immer erst, wenn man direkt draufklickt, wird da aktualiesiert....doof, eben!   Hallo, ist der IPV6-Support noch in Arbeit oder hat das keine Priorität mehr? Mein Provider hat offensichtlich auf IPV6 umgestellt. Erhalte daher die Anzeige "Err". Über VPN funktioniert es weiterhin. Auch die Anzeige der Lokation in Google Maps funktioniert schon länger nicht mehr. Gruß und danke. Andreas

  Hallo, seit ein paar Tagen zeigt das Icon bei mir nur noch zwei "?" an. Meine IP wird zwar erkannt, aber nicht die Geolocation. Gibt es hierfür einen Fix? Danke Gruß Matthias
