A more elegant solution for collapsing reddit comment trees

Collapse a comment and all of it's replies by clicking on the column of the comment you wish to collapse.

No longer get stuck in the middle of a huge comment chain - simply select the outermost column to collapse the whole top-level-comment.

Note - this extension is only compatible with old.reddit.com. You can use Old Reddit Redirect (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/old-reddit-redirect/dneaehbmnbhcippjikoajpoabadpodje) to ensure you always load old.reddit.com.

Compatible with Reddit Enhancement Suite and subreddit themes.

Reddit Comment Collapser is free and open source. The code is available at https://github.com/tom-james-watson/reddit-comment-collapser and contributions and bug reports are very welcome.

Been on Reddit like 8 years, always used "new" Reddit for years, but switched to "old" Reddit and with the help of this amazing little extension, it makes using the comments section on old Reddit so much more enjoyable and I just love the colors of the retro one. Well done mate! I don't know if this extension is still updated by the maintainer or not, but fingers crossed this just keeps on working! 5 out of 5 stars.

Jon Aseltine 2017-07-30: Update2: Awesome! Back to 5 stars, where it should be. Update: the new version is a step in the wrong direction. The line colors were great for tying things together *without* collapsing. Now that everything is the same ugly yellow you can't see relationships between comments as easily. I've been using this extension forever and never rated it. Combine with RES and experience reddit as it should be.

Jose Delgado 2017-07-24: Love the app and the new wider bar is way better since the line was way too thin and difficult too click on. Since the dev is very receptive to new ideas please make the minimalist option with different colors too. Great work!

Nicholas Van Eck 2015-09-28: I really like it but noticed that the lines just don't appear on certain subs. Is it possible that it would be disabled on some subreddits?
