• (2023-03-04) Austin Hewlett: This is such a great tool to have for picking apart phrases and words from Netflix shows. In general this tool works well, occasionally it doesn't recognize the subtitles when they're there, but if you refresh the page it starts working. Very pleased
• (2022-05-05) Conan M: kind of frustrating. as with lingq in general there's a lot of issues with data/sync'ing and organising my data. so with the lingq importer, i generally want to import blog posts, news articles and general short reading material from the internet for learning spanish. but lingq importer doesn't seem to respect/understand that i have multiple 'courses'. 'courses' i guess are synonymous with folders. so i try to organise/categorise my reading this way... e.g. 'music', 'cooking', 'football' etc... the problem is when i create a new folder (course) using the lingq importer it doesn't show up subsequently. a lot of their functionality i've kind of just given up on and i simply use it as a quick reader + translator. i'm not sure it's worth the subscription honestly.
• (2021-10-30) Clus Agus: LingQ should take inspiration from other services like vocabtracker and integrate the lingq vocab system into the page where the text is hosted instead of importing, so that formatting and images etc can be preserved. for now this is not very usable.
• (2021-07-11) Sheridan Saint-Michel: I'm logged into Hulu, but when I try to import all I get in the lesson is the title "Select Your Plan" and the content "You may also like no hidden fees..." and so on. I get sales copy instead of actual show content. I also tried the firefox extension and got the same result. This doesn't work at all.

• (2017-07-23) Allen Jay: This tool is the worst. :( As an advanced Japanese learner, I had hoped I could use this to quickly import difficult articles - e.g., Wikipedia entries - for intensive study and vocab learning. I used the extension on the page for Botamochi (https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%81%BC%E3%81%9F%E3%82%82%E3%81%A1) and imported it. The importer brought in only one section of the Wikipedia article, and truncated it at an arbitrary point. When I then tried to edit this import and manually copy the rest of the article over, it ended up LingQ-ing entire phrases instead of words. E.g., the phrase もち米とうるち米を混ぜたものを was highlighted as an entire "word" in LingQ. I gave up on the extension completely and went back to manually importing articles. This should really be yanked until they can get it right.

  Hi, I managed to use the plug in to download an episode a month or so ago, but for the last few weeks get the following error when I'm on Netflix. I have followed the instructions but no joy. Please help or fix!!! Error: No appropriate captions found.

  Hello, I love having the ability to import content into LingQ but I'm having a little problem. I have a subscription to Le Monde and would like to import articles but the import only pulls in the content that is available to users who are not logged in. I am indeed logged in when I try to import the article but the site must see the Chrome extension as an unauthorized user. Is there a way around that? Thanks!

  The extension doesn't work with netflix on chrome neither on firefox. It remains 'importing' and does not import. I've tested with news websites and it imported but with netflix it didn't work.

  I was able to import the first two episodes of this series earlier, but today when I tried importing the third episode I kept getting a "No appropriate languages found" error, even though I get Korean subtitles on the page and it's an option in the languages list. Is it possibly because the only Korean subtitles are listed under "Korean [CC]" ? This was the video I was having trouble with: https://www.netflix.com/watch/80161608?trackId=200257859 I even tried going back to an older episode I had successfully imported earlier and tried importing that again, and I got the same error.

  How can I keep newlines and paragraph structure? When importing from e.g. https://www.asahi.com/ all titles are just thrown into the main text which is not very helpful
