- Their AI Detector is not the most strict, so you can rely on it but please double check. The AI editing is very good, when i type in google docs it automatically fixes all grammar and punctuation errors, and give AI powered suggestions to rephrase certain words and sentences to increase clarity.

- This does everything I need it to. It works great, doesn't make my Chrome browser lag. I'm really happy and I even installed it on my Pixel phone and it does the trick and is more stable than Grammarly, which I was using before. Everyone should give this a try. I'm verry happy with it.

- Since English is not my first language, this is a great and helpful tool for me to use while composing emails, doing presentations, and reviewing documents. The paraphrase option is great and helps me learn new words, ideas, and ways to explain things in English. Sometimes delays checking or paraphrasing but finally it is worth it. I love Quillbot!

- sometimes lags and don't appear, sometimes the suggestion come up right over your text and interrupt you while writing. Lag is still there tho, some words (suggestions) appear after 5-10 seconds when u need them immediately. Otherwise the Extension itself is 10/10. Just need to solve the mentions bugs and issues

- Genuinely the only writing and grammar app I can actually use. Not even joking btw. I used this a LOT for my essays, and the rewrite function was sooo helpful it was insane. Unlike a lot of the other grammar AI apps-with the insane amount of things you CAN'T do unless you pay for a subscription or whatever-there's a lot of things you can do with this app that doesn't require you to pay to use it. And at one point, where for whatever reason my computer was tweaking out and didn't let me use quillbot, I tried downloading a bunch of other grammar aids. But for literally EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM I HAD TO PAY MONEY TO GET EVEN THE MOST BASIC HELP. WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO PAY YOU TO SHOW ME MY GRAMMAR MISTAKES WHAT??? But anyways, this app is actually really great. This is literally the first ever review I've written for anything, but I felt like it warranted a review lol.

- Unfortunately not a acceptable alternative to Language Tool (which became paid only as of January 2026). My main grievances: Spell check is sometimes not working in text boxes/very inconsistent where the QuillBot spell check is active, For example it is completely absent as I'm typing this review, but it appears on other websites?! Even reloading the page won't make it appear No correction on punctuation errors No style improvements suggestions, like Language Tool did, not available in the free version. I'm also noting a significant increase of input lag when typing since I installed the Quill Bot extension which disappears as soon as deactivate it. Also for data conscience peeps: all data is transferred and stored in the US of A, no GDPR compliant version available :/
