So if you want a link to appear in your another browser you MUST have all other bookmarks the same!! WARNING: reading other reviews it seems people think it will merge the new bookmarks into the old bookmarks and this is NOT the case you are copying from your first installed instance Thats this browser right here you are about to install on and create your sync ID. To whatever target you want to move your bookmarks to then you copy and paste the ID to - despite clear warnings about deletion folks still manage to misunderstand what is happening (both browsers up to date and signed into same google account on win 10) Works as advertised - bad reviews are a product of bad user input
• (2022-11-12) ஆத்தங்கரை சண்முகம்: You lose data. A big no no!. You lose data in a way backup can't really help. Sometimes you just lose a few links sometime entire folders. You don't even know you lost it until after several days when you look for that link. Even if you take regular backups. It is too cumbersome to figure out which got lost where and trying to do a recovery. It shouldn't be hard to design something that will not lose data. If in doubt, dont sync and throw a warning and let the user decide.

• (2022-10-15) Ichthys: syncs all my bookmarks across all me devices and web browsers (I use more than a few). I especially like how it integrates with the bookmarks bar and works as per normal. I used my main browser first to sync then turn of browser sync so it only syncs through app, after this I install extension on all web browsers and mobile app, it just works. well done to all people involved in this project.

• (2022-05-09) Dennis M.: It was a great alternative to the now defunct Xmarks, but it has begun to cause a lot of trouble syncing between Chrome and Firefox, at least on Linux; removing duplicate bookmarks with other extensions makes xBrowserSync overwrite the cleaned-up local bookmarks with the "dirty" online bookmarks. This process becomes unavoidable, memory-consuming (to the point of OOM, crashing both browsers), and has rendered the extension unusable for me, at the risk of losing previous bookmarks. It was well once, and may be again, but this bug hasn't caught enough attention, and it should. Kudos for the dev who came up with the idea, it's worth developing, and it's almost there.

• (2022-02-25) Eric: STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS EXTENSION IF YOUR BOOKMARKS MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU. This extension utterly and completely destroyed my bookmarks in vivaldi. I DID NOT EVEN HAVE TIME to backup before it deleted everything and replaced it with a tiny fraction of what it used to be. I have been collecting tens of thousands of bookmarks over the past decade. WHERE ARE MY BOOKMARKS. If you do not help me restore them there will be some serious problems for you and your company. Now I have to waste my entire day trying to figure out how to clean up this utter mess. This extension author should not be allowed to create extensions dealing with people's valuable information. The author should be ashamed and should immediately remove this extension from the chrome store. This developer is a real liability for anyone who does anything valuable on their computer. I have reported this extension to Google requesting that it be immediately removed from the store. I will re-iterate again that I still expect you to help me restore my library, not just some empty "sorry you lost everything, must be your fault!" response, otherwise I will be personally "reaching out" to you on a regular basis until you do. I'll say this, if your extension manages to stay on the chrome store after my report (which I doubt), you should consider re-writing the entire thing so that it doesn't have any possibility of deleting people's information. How about that? That can't be too difficult, can it? If it is, then maybe you should leave this to another, more competent developer.

• (2021-10-03) Lee Adama: On first inspection it seems to work fine, you don't find out that it's actually a buggy mess until later on when entire folders of bookmarks disappear. Try and put a bookmark into a folder in Chrome or Edge ? SYNC ERROR. OVER AND OVER. Jump over to firefox and do the same thing ? No problem. Jump back to Chrome/Edge and BOOM SYNC ERROR and the entire folder disappears. These SYNC ERRORS have been happening in various circumstances for YEARS. There are OPEN ISSUES going back to 2019 about it in the github. Maybe it would be ok if you don't use CHROME or EDGE it's not like they are the two most used browsers in the world or anything.... Oh, wait they are..... I've put up with the sync errors for years waiting for them to fix it but I just lost another folder of bookmarks and I'm DONE.

• (2021-09-12) Miroslav Hrnčíř: I am using it for only few weeks in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Sometimes when I add new bookmark it duplicates all the bookmarks. Probaly because more than 1 Chrome is running on the PC. This happened already four time during these few weeks. I have to remove it. It brings me total mess in my bookmarks instead of synchronization :-(
• (2021-08-28) Matthew Howell: This extension this great! Unfortunately, according to their FAQ, Apple is being "pissy" with their iOS requirements. As a result, I can't use this extension on my iPhone. I've had bad luck, previously, with Android phones. That is why i now use an iPhone. I've never had good luck with Android tablets, so that's not an option either. At least the extension works on my Linux laptop. I really wish Apple would get off their "holier than thou" high horse.
