The way it functions is clean and simple (floating mic button), results are very accurate and what? It's even free. Was trying out another ext you may have seen. Reached the trial end and thought, it does pretty much what I want and paid $2 a month - reasonable, but it had some annoying quirks. Tried Speechnotes and it's just a better product so I just dumped the other tool. Shhh, now don't tell the developer this, but I'd pay a bit for this service. It would be an excellent value at $2/mo. 👍

When I click, there's immediately an option to sign in with my Google account. 1 There should be some trial before I upgrade, and a clear explanation what the upgrade will give and how much it will cost. 2 There should be an option to sign in other ways and not just Google. In response, can you please explain the features that an upgrade brings, and quote the price.

Funktioniert bei weitem(!) nicht so perfekt wie z.B. die teure Software von Nuance; hat keine dokumentierte Korrekturfunktion, Interpunktionserkennung etc. Funktioniert etwas schlechter als die eingebaute Windows-Funktion - aber die kann nicht jeder nutzen, z.B. weil der Firmenadmin sie (zurecht) abgeschaltet hat. Nervt aber extrem, weil bei jedem Browser-Start das App-Fenster erscheint und einen lauten Pling ausgibt.

• (2022-12-30) Loris Hammer: I quite like the extension it has saved me a lot of time. One thing I don't understand maybe it's just for me. Every time I pause while I'm speaking it makes a double space. So my entire text needs to be fixed by hand because I have a double space between my vocal pauses. To make you understand that I wrote this review using speechnotes and you can see the double spaces that I am referring to. Aside from that the tool is amazing. Is there a fix for this?

• (2022-08-14) Shurinchai Porpramuk: It is a quite good extension. There's one problem though. The voice typing can't overwrite/replace blocked text, but it only writes in front of the text instead. I hope it will be improved later on, considering how inconvenient it is.

• (2022-04-10) Oscar Castillo: Despite showing a convenient mic icon to speak when accessing a text box, this extension has an awful speech recognition. I prefer to use the (speech recognition) mic that comes along with the online keyboard from Windows, which has a superb speech recognition with accurate text of my speech. I am an advanced English speaker, by the way; my speech is clear and has been analyzed, time and time again, over the internet with scores that go from 94 to 98 in a scale of 100 max. Thus, there's not an excuse for this extension to transcribe my speech to words having consonants, for instance, I never uttered.

• (2021-01-22) Magnus Lodding: As some of the other reviews also mention, I've used "Naturally Speaking DragonBar" in the past, but I found Speechnotes to be more effective, easier to use, and way cheaper. The only downside of Speechnotes is that you cannot create custom commands in the same way you are with DragonBar. This, however, doesn't affect me because I only used DragonBar to dictate, but it is something to watch out for if you require custom commands.

I could turn on the speech mic onscreen but anything I said would not be typed it was like the mic was dead. I have checked my mic with other software and it works fine. Aside from this issue I wanted full screen where I could collapse the right hand panel.

One area that I'm still trying to figure out is why it keeps telling me I need to upgrade to premium, in fact, I have already done that. According to the instructions on the website, I made a new purchase on my Android smartphone and the account charged me again.   Recently it seems that you guys have changed some of the functions in the extension. The accuracy seems to have gone way down, and it's starting to indent some sentences and add double spaces between words and also leave some words out. Today it has started to turn itself on without my intervention, showing the microphone in red when I load a webpage with a text field , but it doesn't function until you turn the mic off and then on again. There is another dictation app that I like the accuracy of, but your interface is much easier for me to use. At least, it was until just recently.   Recently I have been having an issue with the Chrome extension where if I pause in between words while dictating it'll add a bunch of extra spaces in between words. This happens even with brief or short pauses. Now, anytime I dictate something I'll have to go back and delete the extra spaces. This didn't use to be an issue for me until recently.
