Have you ever wished your YouTube player had an stop button which prevents youTube from buffering (loading) video files when you are not going to watch that particular video? If so you can have it now!
By installing this extension you will get an stop button on the right side of the play button. Pressing this button unloads the YouTube player and hence it will stop buffering videos.
Note: This extension only works with HTML5 players. No button will be appended to the Flash version of the YouTube player.

- Works well ! (Adds 'stop' button to youtube player and when clicked, stops the player from buffering) Though, I liked how it used to show the thumbnail behind the player when stopped, that feature seems to no longer be working.

- I've been using this extension for a long time and it was always great but it has recently stopped working. I hope the developer will fix this soon.

- Well, despite being updated recently, and me using the latest version of Chrome, this has stopped working. The button is there, and the cursor changes to a pointing hand when I hover over it, but clicking does nothing. I hope it will be fixed soon, or I will have to try and find an alternative, because it's an awesome feature. P.S. I hate that we have to rate these things up front. It should refelct overall experience, not recent. I would normally give it 5 stars, though!

- The button works fine, my issue is that your extension has permission to "Read your browsing history." There is no reason for you to include that if not for selfish reasons. No Thanks!

- Works very well, but when there is a youtube video on another site that is not youtube, it doesn't work. When the video is in the channel results, i.e.those showing what the channel is about are not stopped.
