Grays-out & highlights owned/wishlisted Steam games on Humble Bundle

Image from store SteamChecker
Description from store FEATURES: Shows owned/wishlisted games: * [NEW] on the Humble Choice pages (https://www.humblebundle.com/subscription/home) * on the main game bundle pages * in the Humble Bundle Store and Search pages * keys in your Humble Bundle library (https://www.humblebundle.com/home/keys) Besides looking through every one of your steam games, searching for a specific title to see if you own it or not, there is no way of determining if a bundle you're about to get on HumbleBundle.com has games in your Steam library. Although it may be cheap, spending money on a 10-game bundle where you already owned 9 of the games always makes me frustrated, so I created this extension! This will gray-out any game you own on Steam that is on any of the weekly bundles, store pages, and keys to let you know if you own the game or not. Additionally, it will highlight wishlisted games you may have forgotten about so you don't miss a great deal on a wanted game! HOW TO USE: There will be a new extension icon in Chrome. Click on that to input your 64bit SteamID or steam profile name (NOT nickname) if you have set your URL. Click "Save" and you're done! This information can be found in your profile URL "steamcommunity.com/id/XXXXXXXXXX/"; or "steamcommunity.com/profiles/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/"; NOTE: Humble Bundle uses a different naming format than Steam does for some games, but I will try to keep the alias file as up to date as possible whenever new bundles come out or new games are added to a bundle. If you see that games aren't showing up in a bundle, don't hesitate to contact me! The extension currently doesn't support steam DLC collections (Season Pass, Master Collection, Collector's Edition, etc.). VERSION 0.9 CHANGES: * Added support for the Humble Choice subscription page * Fixed game aliases not loading in some circumstances VERSION 0.8 CHANGES: * Added support for the Humble Bundle Store and Search pages * Fixed for new Humble Bundle keys layout * Fixed single quote in game title issues CONTACT ME: https://twitter.com/Zortrox

  • (2022-03-19) Charles Young (chuck4100): Was probably good once but no longer works.
  • (2022-02-25) Tomáš Černý: Great extension, but due to changes on Humble Bundle´s side and no longer being in active development, works only on subset of pages. I can recommend following extension, which works well and is in active development: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/steam-tags-for-humble-bun/fcinjfniedmmfaalakcallcbjepfiabi
  • (2021-10-31) Reece Ram: Feature Request! This helps a lot but It doesn't work for some special cases. For example: "Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced", "Tropico 3", "Tropico Reloaded" and more will some times return false negatives. Is there any chance that you can add a report error option so special handlers can be added to correct them, or at least show an asterisk or something next to games that the extension might be reporting incorrectly. Still even with the flaws this extension is a huge time saver.
  • (2021-08-12) Topi Peltonen: Great plugin for a game hoarder like me, but since the newest humble layout (where the bundles moved to left with prices on the right) it doesn't work anymore. Hope to see it updated one day 👌
  • (2021-01-02) Jamie Buckingham: works great! wondering if you have thought about making the same extension for the Fanatical (Bundle Stars) website? Doesn't appear to be anything like that yet, only the fanatical extension that adds your steam wishlist
  • (2020-01-16) Mark Lyon: Installed after the most recent update and it works very well. I'm not sure what constitutes a large library, but I have almost 1,000 games and the extension has no problems. I've tested it in my Humble Bundle library and on the Australia Relief bundle. I especially appreciate that the style changes are noticeable without being ugly. I love how it highlights "Gift to a friend" and makes the star glow when I have a key for a game I already own. Data Privacy Note: I have noticed that the extension obtains data, including my profile data, via API requests to foxslash.com. That looks to be the developer's personal website. It would be nice if they would explain what is done with the data that passes through there. Still, a great extension.
  • (2019-12-03) Clark A: Doesn't work if your Steam library is huge. It uses a GET request with all of your games in a query string. If that string is too long, the server responds with "414 (Request-URI Too Long)" which prevents the app from working.
  • (2019-09-10) Chris Bloomfield: Works perfectly for me. Games I own appear grey in both the store and in bundles. The effect takes a few seconds to load. It needs setting up to work. You will need to: 1. Set your Steam profile to public. 2. Find your Steam ID with steamidfinder.com by entering your steam username. 3. Copy the value of "steamID64". 4. Click the extension icon and paste in the value. Check the "ID64" box, then click Save
  • (2019-08-03) Adler Ido: seems like it stopped working :(
  • (2019-05-15) Roni R: As of right now it doesn't work at all
  • (2019-03-12) David Barnett: Doesn't seem to work, tried it on the Humble store, bundles and my key library (there it greyed out 4 games before dying). Real pitty as this is exactly what I need, will keep it for a while and see if it maybe fires up again.
  • (2018-07-19) Ronan Leroy: Doesn’t seem to work anymore.
  • (2018-01-04) Martin Nygren: Seems to work well - wish it could indicate which items are DLC as well :)
  • (2017-04-15) Shawn Graven (Zekrom_Vale): Does not work with custom ids
  • (2017-03-17) Bleys Birt: This is amazingly helpful! The only thing I do wish to point out is that it doesn't handle titles with a "'" (single quote) in them - e.g. "Sid Meier's Civilization V" I don't suppose you take pull requests?
  • (2017-03-07) S C: This is great. There's something similar for Indiegala. Shame there isn't for Bundle Stars (AFAIK). :P
  • (2017-01-13) Pedro Tairum: Unfortunately it is not working for me. It might be because humble bundle has updated the site design.
  • (2016-07-01) James Steele: It works just fine for me so far. I really appreciate this extension and hope you continue to keep this up.
  • (2016-04-28) Logan Lemieux: Great idea... except the problem of it not really working. It seems to highlight 1 or 2 games on humble bundle correctly, then give up. Also, a filter for non-steam bundles (i.e. friends of Nintendo) would be great.
  • (2016-03-06) Shouvanik Sengupta: Very useful, dude. Keep it up. Saw your post on pcmr. Stay glorious! :)

Hello, Nothing works for me : i installed the extension, tried both steam ids (id64 and profile id), double checked that my gamelist is accessible but nothing changes when i log to humble bundle site... how can i debug? is there a logfile somewhere?
  • (2020-08-02, v:0.95) Phil Hart: Pages of www.humblebundle.com/home/keys don't seem to function
On page one of the /home/keys page it seems to function fine. But when I go to page 2, the plugin does not seem to trigger as I have games there that should be marked but are not. Notice that the url of page 2 and so on are still /home/keys so maybe that is an issue? thanks!
  • (2020-04-04, v:0.91) Danni P: Support for previous Humble Choices
Would it be possible to add support for previous Humble Choices? Shouldn't be hard to allow it to work for "subscription/month-year" as an addition to "subscription/home"
  • (2020-03-10, v:0.91) Mark Lyon: Small update needed
    The latest version of the Humble store's frontend added a row on the Keys page for when people still have choices remaining in the Humble Monthly. The way they implemented this is by inserting rows into the table. The new rows still have an h4 element but it lacks the title property. Your logic on line 246 fails because the title property is undefined. I was able to fix it very quickly by adding a check for an undefined type on the title variable into the conditional. Line 246 should now be: if (typeof(title) !== "undefined" && title !== "") {
  • (2018-04-28, v:0.72) Lee Y: Humble Store support
Please make this extension work in the humble store pages. If you want help let me know.
  • (2018-01-17, v:0.70) Blase Zinck: Doesn't Work
The extension just doesn't seem to be working at all, probably because it hasn't been updated recently to reflect Humble Bundle's changes.
  • (2017-03-17, v:0.70) Bleys Birt: Single Quotes break
There's an issue right now with game titles with a "'" (single quote) in them - e.g. "Sid Meier's Civilization V". If you're willing to move to only supporting Chrome 41+ and Firefox 34+ you can do this to fix the single quote issue: use $(`td.game-name h4[title="${machineNames[j]}"]`) instead of $("td.game-name h4[title='" + machineNames[j] + "']")
  • (2017-02-16, v:0.6) lasse støjier pedersen: Do not work!
    Unchecked runtime.lastError while running storage.set: QUOTA_BYTES_PER_ITEM quota exceeded at Object.callback (chrome-extension://eopegaefgepfdedhecfbclehhffiebpk/content.js:82:16)
  • (2016-05-18, v:0.4) Andy Olech: Humble Library
Hey! This is so close to what I need. I have a ton of unredeemed games in my humble library from old bundles. Do you know when you will be adding support for checking a given humble library gainst a steam library? Even with just exact matches (since the names may be different for the same game on both platforms) it would be great!
