  • (2018-12-27) Aviral Sharma: Makes unread label works!! My label: -👁️‍🗨️- Unread Inbox : search/is:unread label:inbox
  • (2018-12-04) It mostly works great, but if my search includes the + character, that gets omitted when I click on the link. Specifically, I search for subject:c++ and that ends up as subject:c, which matches a lot more things...
  • (2018-09-22) Guido Makor: Very nice, works well and fits into the Gmail labeling system better than the original Labs feature, IMHO. I'd give it 5 stars if a label QuickLinks was created by the plugin (or better yet: let the user choose the name) and all created quick links were created hierarchically under that label. Maybe even with a nice little link icon to make it stand out ;-)
  • (2018-03-24) Dwight Brooks: I'll add my voice to the "does not work" group. Clicking the button, as so many others have said, just shows a tooltip saying, "Go to Gmail and create some quick links." How's this helpful?
  • (2018-02-21) Daniel Murray: Thank you for this! Unbelievable that Google doesn't let you show only unread mail when you click the label. The only down side to using this addon is that it doesn't show the number as "(#)" at the end of the label to show you how many unread mails there are currently under that filter.
  • (2018-02-10) n ascentt: Unfortunately doesn't work at all. Was really pleased to find this addon clims to do exactly what I wanted. But all it does is show a tooltip saying "Go to gmail and create some quick links".
  • (2017-10-17) Robert Smith: GREAT REPLACEMENT!
  • (2017-08-17) Martin Saxer: To make the new labels work similarly to the Quick Links lab I grouped them under a "Quick Links" label and set that label to "Show".
  • (2017-08-16) Peter Dunn: Works as advertised. Thanks for making this.
  • (2017-08-10) Wei-Hsuan Chen: I tried to find an alternative since Google planned to shut down the The Quick Links Lab. That is how I found this extension. You saved my day. Thanks a lot!
  • (2017-08-09) Benjamin Peng (Ben): Thanks, totally saved the best feature in Gmail

  • (2023-05-08, v:1.4.1) Robert Crawford: Is this still supported/working?
I have installed this extension and see the icon for it with my other extensions. However, I don't see any way to create a link. If I click the icon, it just says "go to Gmail and create some quick links".
  • (2022-06-11, v:1.4.1) Kerim Friedman: Safari Support?
Would you consider making a version of this extension for the Safari browser?
  • (2019-12-06, v:1.4.1) Oh heck. Broken on Chrome Version 78.0.3904.108?
I love this extension. I so want it to work. :( I try creating a link with label foo to Inbox (https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox). The browser switches to Gmails Settings -> Labels page momentarily, then back to the inbox. I do not see any label created either in the left hand side of Gmail or in the Labels page. If there's anything I can do to help debug or diagnose please let me know. Thanks for all the work you put into this.
  • (2018-10-25, v:1.4.1) Jim Robinson: Multiple gmail accounts
Doesn't work with multiple accounts. I'm usually logged into a free gmail account and a g suite account. The quick links only show in the first logged in account. Also it would be good if there could be different links in the different accounts.
  • (2018-09-20, v:1.4.1) Andrew Gross: Can't create new gmail links
I am using both free gmail as well as G Suite. With either product, I am not able to create new links, just get the "Create Gmail Quick Link" message that others have reported. I thought I might have an incompatibility with another extension but I tested in incognito mode (in Vivaldi) and allowed just the quick links extension to be active -- same results. Thanks.
  • (2018-09-07, v:1.4.1) Chrome 69 issue ?
Hi, with Chrome 69, while working perfectly before that, all my quick links labels appear on the same line on one of my accounts (while the other one is OK). I don't know if this is a known issue
  • (2018-07-03, v:1.4.1) Evan Roggenkamp (Work): This is not working for me
I am able to create labels from the searches that I am doing, but when I try to click on them they only search for half of the string.
  • (2018-02-21, v:1.3.0) Daniel Murray: 2 improvements
Love this addon! But 2 things would make it better 1) Currently you can't nest labels under a quick link label unless the parent label which it's nested under isn't a quick link. Which means if I have: Parent Label 1 - Nested label 1a - Nested label 1b - Nested label 1c Parent Label 2 - Nested label 2a - Nested label 2b - Nested label 2c Then only the ones labels "nest label" can be quick links and the "parent labels" can't be a quick link. Or it means if I give a quick link to the "parent label" then all nested labels repeat the parent name and quick link, they can't be unique. 2) If it's possible to show the "(#)" number string eg, "Link (23)" which means there are 23 unread emails in that label, like Google has for it's default labels. Thanks! Dan
  • (2018-02-10, v:1.3.0) n ascentt: doesnt work at all
all it does is say go to gmail to create some quick links
  • (2018-01-29, v:1.3.0) Arco Witter: label not shown
Hello, I used a has:red-star query in the All email label, added this with name TODO, but I do not see that TODO anywhere in the left list of labels.
  • (2017-12-14, v:1.3.0) James Baca: "Go to Gmail and create some quick links"
This extension was working, and now is not. Whenever I click on the icon, I get the message, "Go to Gmail and create some quick links." Thanks!
  • (2017-10-24, v:1.3.0) M D M: On my PC it does not do anything
I installed the extension, but I don't see anything. What do I have to see: A column, some label, or where are the quick links stored when you create one (also not seen on my PC in Gmail).
  • (2017-09-25, v:1.3.0) Phillip Wofford: "Nest Under"
Is it possible to change where the quicklinks are nested under? I want to use _ Quicklinks since that will put it at the top of my label listings, but if I use that, I have to go manually move the quicklinks there. Thank you Phil
