  • (2023-07-28) Theee Chosen One: Coming from Typio (which has been abandoned by developer), this app works fine enough. It's not as fully featured as Typio (i.e. like right click option, etc), but it'll do. Nothing worse than losing your typing when the page crashes! BTW, for set-in stone Typio users, read the hack that can get it working again. I don't have the patience for that, so this app is good enough for the moment.
  • (2023-04-25) Rocky: Following the failure and collapse of Typio, I was hopeful and had great expectations of Formalizr. However, what on earth is the point of such apps when they are missing the most important function, such as the ability to search for an entry? It is useless and pointless.
  • (2023-04-15) Ransom Baggins: Does exactly what I need without any hassles. Not savvy enough to know if this is the best solution out there for everyone, but when pages freeze or reload or in some other way screw up while I'm writing something, so far this little extension has been able to help me recover my content. Also, while we have to take someone's word for it, it appears to be more privacy friendly than other options I've seen, but IDK.
  • (2023-04-15) MurderChickenXL: It's okay, but, unlike Typio, it does not have a search function. Another super annoyance, it doesn't go by what website you are on. Say you are typing a review on Amazon. Come back a day or so later and go to revise that review, there will be a ton of entries for other sites, but Amazon will be missing. You won't find a single Amazon listing. I don't know if it's right setting, but I set the memory for 512 pages so that I won't lose my entries as quickly. But it's still too limited. Typio was absolute Genius and it's really a shame what Google did to Chrome to break great extensions like that one. Formalizr is the only thing left that can do something similar, but it is sorely lacking. Maybe I'll find something better, but Google is seriously out to destroy everything good in its store page. Don't get me started on Firefox.
  • (2023-04-12) 愚公移山: Typioが機能しなくなったので向こうのレビューで紹介されていたこちらへ乗り換えに来ました。 評判良さそうなので期待してます。 Typioは長年使っていたのでとても残念です。
  • (2023-03-29) Jonathan Gawrych: I'm yet another Lazarus/Typio migrant. Thank you for your work on this. It'll save me in the future!
  • (2023-03-10) Cüneyt Birkök: Only works ext. Best of all. No trouble experienced. Congratulation.
  • (2023-03-09) Nikhil Kundra: Thank you for saving me after Typio stopped being supported!
  • (2023-03-09) Client Service: I INSTALLED IT BECAUSE TYPIO FORM RECOVERY DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE. It seems to work fine. Thank you ! PLEASE REPLY TO MY COMMENT IF Formalizr is good for you or not ?
  • (2023-03-08) Steve Zimmerman: Finally, a text recovery extension that actually works! Not since the old Lazarus extension on Firefox from a decade ago has such an extension been available anywhere. There are many extensions that claim to be able to recover text, but none of them have worked reliably for me. This one works every time. And if that weren't enough, it has enough options to satisfy just about everyone. On top of that, the user interface is beautiful and a pleasure to use. Great work!
  • (2023-03-02) Yuki Kart: still working, thank you!
  • (2023-02-13) N P: Works great, Even has a slider that allows you to go back to earlier variations of the same text box.
  • (2023-02-10) Kate Bush: Better ! (Cent. Chromium 102.0.5005.167)
  • (2023-02-02) Tranquility Sea: Please make an option to have a pin to unlock the app. As it is no everyone that uses the PC can see what we typed.

  • (2021-05-26) Алексей И.: Great extension. Thank you
  • (2019-11-15) Bobby Holla: This piece of extension is awesome. i have been using it for a over 8 months now
  • (2016-12-14) Gal Szkolnik: I've been using this one for ages, surprised there are so few users and ratings. This is a well thought off extension, a true life saver. Basically saves everything I type in chrome, and provides the option to resurrect any point in time of this (according to the settings it's setup with)
  • (2015-02-20) Steven Eighner: Absolutely love this. Chrome doesn't save anything so, when a crash happens, I lose everything. Well, Formalizr did everything it promised as it restored all my tabs and it even saved what I was writing when Windows Update somehow got reset to Automatic Updates and closed me down. Five stars and I highly recommend it!

  • (2023-08-23, v:1.0.0.3) lawrence d'Aniello: Data deleted when I reopen the browser
Hi, thanks for your nice extension! Two questions. 1) Why data are often not preserved and available when I re-open the browser? Do I have to set something in Chrome browser? P.S. The extension is correctly set to "Save in Chrome-specific local storage and the persistent storage usage is at minimum capacity. 2) Is it possible to store data only on a field with a specific selector? Thank you!
  • (2023-04-25, v:1.0.0.3) Rocky: No search ability
Following the failure and collapse of Typio, I was hopeful and had great expectations of Formalizr. However, what on earth is the point of such apps when they are missing the most important function, such as the ability to search for an entry? It is useless and pointless.
  • (2023-02-02, v:1.0.0.3) Tranquility Sea: Pin to unlock
Please allow us to set a pin to unlock the app so that other people using our PC can't see what we typed. thanks.
  • (2017-05-12, v:1.0.0.2) Luca Gentile (Cyclorbit): The mouse cursor jumps by himself
After installing the extension my mouse cursor was jumping from one point to the other, so I deactivated the extension and it stopped. It's a pity cause I guess that the extension has great potentials!
