Description from store
This extension is a clean implementation to re-enable right-click context menu on websites that prevent it. Some websites prevent right-click to prohibit the user from copying or pasting content. This is a misuse of a browser feature that is designed to allow website owners to provide their own context menu not to block the user from accessing the browser's default context.
How to use the extension?
Simply click on the toolbar button if the right-click is blocked on a website. That's it! Note that this extension uses a non-persistent background script which means it is not using any resource unless the toolbar button is pressed. So compared to the other alternatives it can be considered more efficient implementation.
Some extra use cases:
1. Copy image from image hosting websites such as Instragram (www.instagram.com) or 500px (500px.com).
2. Copy video from video or clip hosting websites such as Instragram or Tik Tak (www.tiktok.com).
Features:
1. Reenables defualt context menu based on the context (for image, you will get image context menu, and for video, you will get the default video context menu with "Save As" context menu item)
2. Reenables copy and paste on websites that prevert them (unblocks clipboard)
3. One-click toggle on and off
4. Automatically gets enabled on the user requested websites
5. Disables web distraction by muting "window.alert" and other intruptting notifications
6. Unblocks text selection ("user-select", "-moz-user-select", and "-webkit-user-select")
7. Unblocks pointer event blocking ("pointer-events")
8. Unblocks image access within HTML5's custom elements
9. Open-source on GitHub
10. Unblocks touch events on Android (touchstart and touchend)

- (2025-05-08) first name last name: It works sometimes. In many sites, once enabled, it forces the page to refresh anytime a link within the same page is left clicked (nothing to do with the right click), deleting any entries in the page -for instance if chatting and clicking to open a picture link.

- (2025-04-11) Joseph Renard: Gets 3 stars because it no longer works on v3 manifest Chrome. When Chrome was still v2 manifest it worked flawlessly. This needs to be updated for current Chrome coding. Ublock origin updated theirs in no time. Ublock origin still works perfectly.

- (2024-05-23) Evan Bangham: Ignore the people saying that this plugin collects your data, it does not. Source code is available at https://github.com/lunu-bounir/allow-right-click so you can inspect it yourself. This is assuming of course that it's the same as what has been uploaded to the chrome store.

- (2024-01-18) Moo Scree: Excellent extension by an excellent developer. Only one that works as expected.
- (2024-01-08) Maxime: Great extension. Not only does it fulfill its promise, it also does it in a very elegant and ergonomic way, so it's a breeze to use. It's very easy to enable and disable right-click overriding simply by clicking the extension icon, and it takes effect instantaneously. Update: any way you could think about making a similar extension for disabling the shortcuts set by the website? - It sometimes happens to me to do Ctrl+Shift+I to access developer tools, but on some websites it just doesn't work. - Websites like Google Docs have a lot of shortcuts, with only a few I use, so my extension shortcuts get overridden - Or more recently, I tried maintaining the "End" key pressed on YouTube in order to scroll to the end of the command section in order to search through them using Ctrl+F, but it just skipped to the end of the video, and the only option remaining was to scroll, and scroll, and scroll endlessly. It would be great to have an extension that lets us disable keyboard shortcut override on the click on an icon, or when using a certain keyboard shortcuts (in cases where the website doesn't disable ALL keyboard shortcuts)
