1. When you install this, the browser may say "we disabled this extension because it tried to change your default search engine". In that case, open your browser extension tab and click the enable button.
2. The first time you make a search the browser will likely have a pop-up that says "is this what you expected?". Click "Keep Changes", which may not be the lit-up button, to keep searching on Search Conservative.

DuckDuckGo is a "secure/private" search engine. It is an interesting concept that feeds on the media-driven paranoia about data. But it is not very useful in practice. Anonymous web data ensures you get a web experience that makes sense to you. Ads are relevant to you, pages get designed with you in mind. Also if you want to decrease the data about you on the web, DuckDuckGo is NOT effective. They don't record it themselves, but many websites you click to collect everything.
DuckDuckGo uses search results straight from Google/Bing, and not their own rankings. At the end of the day you're getting fed whatever those big search engines want you to see.

Search Engines like Ecosia use an "environmentally friendly" approach. Ecosia uses the same Google search engine technologies. The only thing they do is donate their revenue to save the trees. So it's a nice sentiment but offers the same search experience as Google.

- I've installed this app twice now. (Many months apart from each install.) It just doesn't work. No results show. I hate the libtarded search engines. PLEASE FIX YOUR APP. I don't know why it doesn't work, but it just returns a blank screen. Maybe it's because I use the Brave browser? Can you all make sure you have compatibility with that? I hope this app works in the future.

- Before this plug in it was nearly impossible to get useful results from a web search. I used to automatically dismiss the first ten pages of results. DUCK DUCK GO GO was actually more limited. This is how we get underneath the Google etc's algorithm content filters. You don't always need it, but when you do...

- The only thing that disappoints me about this search engine is why we need it to begin with. I remember back in the early 2010s when you could still get over 10 pages of search results on google, when I could find pages made by random people and not only corporate entities. Now if I type an article and author fully in search, if it is anti-JeffreyEpsteinClass, it will not show up ever, and instead I get the OPPOSITE of what I'm looking for... which is a complete joke. Glad to use Result Hunter! I will never consent to all out totalitarianism.

- Not only does every search start with 2-3 ads that copy my search target & initially fooled me, but the Wrench icon feature to customize your search results is hard to find and only seems to work on a per-site basis. The entire 1st page of results are usually too useless & too general, often failing to pay attention to qualifiers that don't always come first in the search term. Until the Wrench/customize your search feature becomes easier to apply to entire categories of useless results, this search engine, while likely better for privacy than DuckDuckGo, isn't helpful nor saves me time in my searches.
