Hitting enter or click on the search button only changes my text into the google link and doesn't actually redirect me to any google page.

Does the ext run all the time or only when i run a search in reddit? Just wondering why use a button on the toolbar when you could just use a redirect? i mean when the reddit search is in the url then it could redirect to google search.
