Also getting constantly security warnings from my ''google account'' as ''suspicious activity on your account'' after installing and using addon for month or so triggered warning twice. Never had issue without this addon.

- (2025-05-19) Dennys M: I have been using it for years, it does not show the real values, the statistics that are in studio YouTube are not the same as those shown by this tool. Especially the one for the shorts, and it doesn't show the one for the long videos either.

- (2025-05-12) Whinnie Chan: I've used vidIQ for the last two years and was happy with the level of insight it provided into my channel as well as the assistance with titling and tagging my videos. Unfortunately I can no longer use the extension as I've been receiving critical security warnings for the last few months on my Google account tied to my YouTube channel, and based on the activity info and online research it appears likely that vidIQ is the cause. I reached out to their support team as this is a major concern (I've seen so many channels get hacked lately with no way to fight back thanks to cookie loggers, and ), and while they provided a very quick and detailed answer, they basically brushed it off by saying that this is "normal" due to the higher level of permissions needed to access your channel info, although I've never received a security warning from any other extension requiring the same permissions before ... They also tried to justify that this could be caused by having to log back in or when your IP address is refreshed, but I've received multiple warnings when my devices using these extensions weren't even on. All these coupled with their lack of transparency (saw so many Reddit and Twitter threads directly tagging them about this with no response) no longer allow me to recommend vidIQ to other creators, and I'll be looking for another tool to help with my content.

The Thumbnail tool is garbage and it's Thumbnail rating is completely off. Keyword is a bit suspect honestly. Only tool I really found useful was the competition rating. Sorry guys I gave it an honest effort.
- (2025-04-06) info x: this addon caused chrome to nearly freeze, chrome almost hanged even when no youtube tab was open!! After painstaking effort of uninstalling and reinstalling each addon one by one, found this addon to be the offender and cause of hanging issue in chrome! It wasted many days, with chrome almost unable to switch to 2nd tab, its like chrome choked , even on a i9 processor! (its not a lack of processing power, other browsers [based on same chrome] worked fine) After uninstalling this specific offending addon, instantly chrome became normal, all lag is gone there was no issue to switch to 2nd tab or even open a few more tabs also. if chrome becomes laggy or bogged down, perhaps it may help to try to remove this addon and see if it helps

- (2025-03-22) Prakash Rajbanshi: Very bad experience! Most of the time, I face data fetching issues, and the score doesn't show up even after using the paid version. There's also a huge difference in scores between the mobile and desktop versions, which makes it unreliable. Worst of all, no one is helping to resolve these errors—customer service is extremely poor. Definitely not worth the money!

I know you guys have to try and make money somehow but I feel like you guys should make it more noob friendly by removing the limiters off of the optimizing tab like being able to optimize only 3 videos and I think I speak for most people when I say this but I don't think 3 videos isn't enough. Maybe like 5 or somewhere below 10 is just right cause lets be realistic here. Nobody is gonna want to optimize lets say a 3 year old video than a video you probably released a week or 2 ago. Thats just my opinion. I feel like it could receive my 5th star for that but for that reason. I'll be petty and make it 4 stars lol edit: nvm, I guess optimize tab is just time limited cause now I can only optimize one video. 1 star deduction

- (2025-02-15) Muntianu Cristian: The free version is working quite good! The problem, is that the pricing of their paid version is too high for the amount of stuff you're getting! The AI coach most of the time errors out and gives 1 month old data instead of up to date stuff. Moreover, the AI thumb generator is garbage and doesn't manage to produce on context thumbnails. Their tag suggestion is out of context every single time too. So, free version, ok, paying 18$ for the paid version? No sir. Never again.
