Fluff Busting Purity cleans the application spam and other annoying messages off your Facebook homepage. It adds a small information bar at the top of your news feed. It tells you how many game/application posts its hidden and also how many other "Extra" (extraneous) post types (which you can specify in the options screen) it has hidden. The options screen is accessible by clicking the FBP link in the top Navigation Bar.
Fluff Busting Purity has multiple options to lets you block a huge range of Facebook post types, that you are not interested in.
You can also filter out any subject on Facebook that doesn't interest you, using the "Text Filter" function, for example say you were not interested in Politics, you could put the relevant keywords/phrases that get mentioned in Political posts, such as the names of the Political party members, the party names, etc into the Text Filter box, and FBP will filter out any posts from the Newsfeed including that text. You can also use the Text Filter to filter out any mention of celebrities you are not interested in hearing about, such as Kanye, The Kardashians, etc. There is now also an "Auto Hide" filter, that works the same way as the "Text Filter" but it completely hides the post from your feed, if it detects any of your chosen keywords or phrases.
Fluff Busting Purity now also has an image content filter that lets you filter out images of cats, dogs, selfies, babies, memes, food, smoking and also lets you set your own custom image content filters.
You can also hide any of the links in the right hand column, such as: Events, Games and App Requests, Recommended Pages, Suggested Groups, People You May Know / Find More Friends, Friend Requests, Birthdays, Chat, Businesses For You, Stories, Watchlist

* An option to Force Facebook to permanently keep your Newsfeed on "Most Recent" (aka the Feeds Page), you can also set it permanently to Friends Feed, or the Favorites Feed.

* Choose friends to add to your Friend Allow List (so their posts don't get filtered out by FBP's Filters)

* Remove colored backgrounds and large fonts from statuses
* View Your list of Deactivated Friends
* Tell you who deleted or unfriended or blocked you
* Set the default comment sorting mode to either "Newest" or "All Comments"

- I've been using this for years or ever since it came out - and it works beautifully! I'd not be able to stand being on facebook without this extension, due to the constant deluge of ads and having to search through them for my friends posts! This extension is a real lifesaver in my book and I've never expereinced ANY issues during all this time with leaked personal info, security issues, etc....Can't say enough for the facebook warrior who came up with this! (Not all heros wear capes...but he deserves one!) ;-)

- Didn't work. Reels disabled? No. Suggested groups disabled? No. Sponsored ads disabled? No. None of it worked. I refreshed, started a new browser. Just didn't work. Developer responds to negative reviews with "Yes it does work. Read our site" blah blah blah. No, it doesn't work. Nothing I blocked was actually blocked. Either the extension works or doesn't work. I'm not interested in extensions where I have go to a website and follow explicit instructions to make something that should automatically work when I install it functional.

- I love my FB Purity! But please take a look, Facebook just changed something and now a hidden timeline still shows the posts! Edit: Thanks! Note to others: Facebook is a sneaky bastard. I simply went to marketplace then back home, but ... That's not the default "home" where it goes back to, so it does show posts even if you hid them with FBP. One has to click "Back to top posts" on the top left to get back to the beautiful pure purist purity experience. What a revelation. Facebook got so much better nowadays... without the timeline :D

- This is pretty good. Have used it for a coupe of years. Sometimes, Facebook changes things and the extension stops blocking annoying adds, but a couple of days later it will adjust and start blocking them again. Thanks for the good work!

- Working perfectly, but one suggestion. Please give an option to hide reels section on news feed that suggested by FB, yet doesn't hide reels which shared by anyone that people followed or friends. Hope that option will be happens. Keep it up, devs!

- I like it and I hate it. Facebook and Fluff Busting Purity have a war going on! Whenever Facebook attacks FBP, and Vice Versa, my Newsfeed gets totally screwed up. But for the most part, FBP does filter out a lot of JUNK

- Have used this for years, and it is excellent. Patches are generally very fast, which is amazing when it's a small team handling an ad-based site (solo? don't know, but I love this thing.) Just S tier all around, I'd install it on my grandma's computer if she had one. Excellent thing this is.

- Was working for some time, isn't really working now (and yes, I have facebook in EN). While the "required setting" is not really that complex. Basically "don't show any content that is not comming from users in my friends or in my groups". Did not find any setting in options, that would be anyhow close to this.

- Got fed up with the sludge and AI slop content stuffing up my feed. I deleted my personal fb acct years ago, but now only use it for my business and marketplace. Honestly wish I did it sooner!!! Lifesaver extension. Will help me get a lot of my time and focus back.

- Thank you very much devs for this Godsend extension. For some reason FB ads go pass my adblockers, and I can't just report/hide the ad to remove it, since they patched it with an annoying countermeasure "something went wrong blah blah blah" I hope this extension can be supported forever! :)
