Post Editor for Google+ adds formatting buttons to the bottom of the post box so you can easily style your posts. It also includes a variety of symbols that you can automatically inject into your post.
NOTE: This extension only works with the old style Google+ and does not (yet) work with the latest layout changes. I may at some point update it to do so but only once Google has finalized the changes in direction they've been making.
v1.2.1 Has some tightened up code and should now work from your profile page. Users who experienced the page refreshing to a blank page when trying to use the buttons from their profile/page should be good to go now.

* If you do not immediately see the Post Editor give it a couple of seconds. The Google+ elements that Post Editor attaches to has to be present on the page before it can display. If it still doesn't display hit the cancel button and try to share again.
* Some users are reporting conflicts if you have other Google+ specific extensions installed (particularly Replies and more for Google+).

- (2017-03-26) Patrick: Seems as if this is an abandoned extension which is a shame. There are still many people that request this type of service. If nothing else it could have been a quite giant, a sleeper app for highlighting the author's other endeavours. The world may never know.

Hi there, (question, sugestion & (my) problem!) I hated the G+ update & have refused to use it, Google no longer gives us the choice & we are forced to accept the new layout (its terrible on my slow PC), anyway its not the end of the world having to now enter code manually, but its just another inconvenience - the new G+ layout wont even let me say drag an '*' symbol across to include more words in bold as its now only available for picture dragging (annoying, tedious). it'd be great if you could do an update as I can no longer use your editor :( ,if only I could find a plugin to revert to the G+ classic layout - but thats just an extra idea for a project, my main request is just for an updated version of PE(I hope its just a matter of ajusting a few lines of code, but out of my expertese unfortunately) - thanks for reading! :) - (2016-09-01, v:1.2.1) Stopped working

Hi, i just added this extension to my Chrome browser because I wanted to have this nice formating option there. In my case I tried it with posts that I created in a community, and I couldnt even see the Editor. Is it because I have enabled that new G+ layout and its not compatible with that anymore ?
