I don't mind hearing "YOU'VE GOT MAIL" when I get an email from work though. This is a must-have extension for anyone working from home who maybe can't stay glued to their inbox or keep clicking the refresh button every 15 seconds. ;)
• (2020-07-28) John Taylor: This doesn't work. I set it up as described, sent myself an email from my flip phone, but no sound. I chose the AOL because it's the loudist, but this app doesn't work, at least not on my HP laptop. Would have given it a -10 but that's not an option here.

• (2019-12-28) Stanley Nelson: Not much to configure, just the sound you want. There are 9 different sounds plus mute. The only alert sound I can hear from across the room is the AOL mail alert.

  I installed this extension about a week ago because I need to know when a business email comes in without constantly checking. Great idea, but HAS NOT WORKED SINCE I INSTALLED IT. Obviously this is an issue with many people. If you are not going to keep your extension working and updated, then TAKE IT DOWN and save the rest of us from the waste of time.

  Great app, however I'm constantly called to the screen by mails arriving in the Promotional Tab, which kind of defeats the purpose. I tried simply not displaying that tab, however then the GMail functionality changes, and all the "Promotions" also arrive in my Primary Tab, so I then have two copies, and a sound. Any suggestions for me using the current Extension? Otherwise please take the above as a Feature Suggestion. Simplest case, a check box for each existing Tab to either make sound, or not. For other stories (not mine) there could be a way to select different sounds for each enabled Tab. Many thanks!
