  • (2017-10-31, v:2.5.0) blocking of video on fox forum articles
I appears that Fox Forum Helper is no longer blocking the video from loading on forum articles. I use a data stream monitor to help me control data usage and see that even when the article is removed from the forum page that loads, the data stream for the video continues so I'm being charged for it on my internet access plan. I have Helper 2.5.0. I there any way now to block the video stream from downloading, either when the article is showing or not?
  • (2017-03-19, v:2.2.4) Fox Forum Helper Disabled on Update
When updated from version 1 to version 2.2.4 Fox Forum Helper may be disabled. This is as the URLs to run content_scripts in the manifest was on was changed from http://www.foxnews.com/* to *://*.foxnews.com/* (Meaning run on any page on foxnews regardless of protocol, i.e., http or https, and regardless if the domain is preceded by "www"). This still limits the extension to only run on foxnews.com so it is safe to allow if the "enhanced permissions". If you were to install either version of the extension it would not ask you for special permissions, it is just because of this slight change in the permissions requested that makes schome request that you to awkowledge it.
