• (2025-07-31) William N (Ubunifu): Only thing holding this extension from 5 stars is there is occasional bugs where clicking the block button doesn't work, and this also doesnt prevent youtube's auto-play from playing blacklisted videos so its best to either have youtube on another screen or disable autoplay. But not getting it onto why its so high rated... this extension just overall adding the ability to block channels is amazingly useful, i tend to use youtube to listen to music videos which currently is plagued with "mixes" basically entirely AI generated channels aimed at basically stealing engagement from the original authors, but most recently my love for modded minecraft has relighted and a certain... 18+ mod has also appeared for some reason, thanks to this extension i can block their channel completely. Basically to the author i ask for this before i change it to 5 stars: - Have youtube auto-play skip any video blocked by the user or is posted by a blocked channel. - Add another alternative to block a video aside from going to the settings and manually typing in the name (which sometimes doesnt work if the channel has emoji's and whatnot)

I don't know how people browsed YouTube without this. The site is an utter hellscape of brainrot and clickbait. This combined with Sponsorblock was the only way to YouTube.

• (2025-07-10) Larabieprime: Previous issue before it was fixed was that everywhere but the recommendations when I'm watching a video wasn't being properly blocked. Now it's only the recommendations that don't work. Everywhere else however seems to be back to blocking channels. I said it before and I'll say it again, this extension has helped me out extensively and I hate to see it not working, especially when I'm stuck having to see god awful youtubers flood my YT recommendations as if the website thinks they're worth being given the time of day. Whoever is running this extension now, please sort this out. I still can't honestly recommend this extension until they have it back to how it worked before. If it wasn't broke, there was no need to fix it. But now it is. So fix it please.

Also though, it should also block shorts from the blocked channel, I block any AI stuff I came across, but their videos are usually shorts, which this extension doesn't block for some reasons.
