This extension will most likely not be updated for the upcoming changes in Chrome. It is still available from https://www.4chan-x.net/ as a userscript.
4chan X is a script that adds various features to anonymous imageboards. It was originally developed for 4chan but has no affiliation with it.
For other browsers or for the userscript version (works better than the Chrome extension unless you need syncing between devices), see:

Uninstalling: 4chan X disables the native extension, so if you uninstall 4chan X, you'll need to re-enable it. To do this, click the [Settings] link in the top right corner, uncheck "Disable the native extension" in the panel that appears, and click the "Save Settings" button. If you don't see a "Save Settings" button, it may be being hidden by your ad blocker.
Incognito mode: By default, 4chan X remembers your last read post in a thread and which posts were made by you, even if you are in incognito mode. If you want to turn this off, uncheck the "Remember Last Read Post" and "Remember Your Posts" options in the settings panel. You can clear all 4chan browsing history saved by 4chan X by resetting your settings.
Use of the "Link Title" feature to fetch titles of Youtube links is subject to Youtube's Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy). - To fix the extention you need to download it manually from their website then edit the manifest.json from version 2 to version 3 and install it manually. I just used chatgpt to do it.

- Love this extension, however every once in a while i need to enter recaptcha to access the site. 4Chan X blocks the recaptcha and i get an error that my web browser is out of date. I have to fix it by disabling 4chan X and clicking the captcha then re enabling. its kind of a pain and i was wondering if there is a way around this?

- Excellent extension, I can't imagine using 4chan without it, but over the last few months I've noticed that image-heavy threads become a total lag-fest when trying to scroll down while having this extension enabled. I've tried resetting settings, disabling various ones that I thought might be affecting it, but nothing seems to help.

- One of the best extensions, but recently it's been breaking my 4chan page across all browsers/different computers: When the extension is enabled, it often makes 4chan come up with the error: "Your browser is out of date! Update your browser to view this website correctly. More Information." Only gets fixed when disabling this extension, I hope a fix comes soon.

- I really like 4chanX but with the new CAPTCHA system they introduced the fast captchas aren't working anymore and the new ones with a slider are a chore to do so. I really hope they will be skippable in the future

- Great extension. I was able to write a filter that filtered out all posts on 4chan (using the regex ".*"), thereby drastically increasing the quality of the website 5/5

- Makes the site so much easier to use without adding complexity. if you want to go all out with custom settings you can, but really the default options modernize the site, and I swear even makes it faster/more optimized. I find the dump list feature the most useful. Being able to just drag an entire folders worth of files in instead of searching for the files one by one saves so much time. Getting reply notifications is also really useful. Updates are quick. When the site makes a weird change that breaks it (like changing the captcha), its updated and fixed extremely quickly.

- UPDATE: I cannot post anymore and I keep getting "connection error" even after trying all the troubleshooting suggestions. It was working fine yesterday, but today not so much. Works when it wants to but I've experienced many instances where I would reply to a thread and my comment wouldn't post or try to make a thread and it redirects me to another thread.
