Description from store
Compose an email just by typing in Chrome's address bar.
Emails are started with a "." and a space. For example:
. [email protected] sub What's up?, I thought you'd enjoy this picture: http://bit.ly/6kEfZ0
will open a compose window (using mailto) to [email protected] with the subject "What's up?" and the included message.
Define a custom shortcut for someone's email by typing
. set m, [email protected]
and then "m" can always be used instead of [email protected].

- (2016-03-18) icr0: SO COOL I would like it if as Chris david said "2. The option for hitting enter a second time sends the email. So the focus would be on send when the email comes up. "
- (2014-06-20) Stefan Barney: This is awesome. It shows you the email and then you can go ctrl-enter if clicking "Send" is too slow. (That's a Gmail shortcut.) It gets only four stars because loading Gmail before sending the message takes awhile with slow connections; it is often handier to just keep a Gmail tab open and use the Gmail shortcuts.
- (2014-01-12) Simon Mercer: Simple idea, innovative, like it a lot!
- (2013-12-08) Garrett Winters: Omnimail was better, but that doesn't exist anymore, so this is an adequate replacement
- (2013-10-14) I think ther is quite a room for improvment in terms of features. There was previously an extension called omnimail that used to get oauth and suggest contact while typing in omnibox and then send mail. Just openig a mailto link form omnibox is not THAT cool.
- (2013-08-01) Chris Davis: This is fantastic and just what I was looking for. The only two things I wish it had were: 1. The option for emails to open in a new tab, not window. 2. The option for hitting enter a second time sends the email. So the focus would be on send when the email comes up. Thanks for a great extension!
