Description from extension meta

This extension allows remote control of your grandstream handset.

Description from store GS CTC is a chrome extension that allows you to click on a phone number and send it directly to a grandstream handset to initiate a call. It's also got many other features. Features Accept/End an incoming/current call Put the current call on hold Reboot the handset See current status of phone Type a number and send the call to the handset Recognise tel:<number> links and start a call on the handset when clicked Usage Click the green/teal phone icon that appears in your browsers extension area. (usually the top right) Here you can see the IP you've set and the current status (will take a moment to update on first open) Every 2 seconds the extension updates the status of the phone by sending it a request. From the extension you can click the buttons to Accept/End/Hold a call and reboot the handset. Please note the hold button only works during a call and the reboot button will immediately reboot the handset. Click To Call Currently, the click to call feature only has limited support. There are too many different phone formats on the web so at the moment GS CTC only suppors phone numbers inside a link <a href=> and those that start with tel:. Support for different numbers will eventually come. To activate click to call, simply click on the link and the handset will immediately start a call. Notifications Whenever a call is started or other action clicked, you'll get a chrome notification. When any call is made it confirms what number you're calling and lets you quickly cancel the call if it was started by mistake. All notifications should hang around for about 10 seconds, but you can dismiss it earlier with the "dismiss" button. Planned Features More support for different phone number formats More user configurable options (refresh rate etc) from options page Option to call selected text when right clicking on a text selection License This entire project is open source. It's available under the GNU GPL v3 or later license. Basically, this means you can use it for whatever you want as long as you release any modifications under the same license.

  • (2020-01-21) Dave Evans: If there is more than one tel url on a page, clicking on a link always calls the last number on the page. This is a severe bug which limits its usefulness on my local contacts page. Most pages on the web only have one tel url on the page, so that would not be an issue Feature request: It would be nice if the app validates the numbers before dialling. . There are a lot of broken tel urls on the world wide web. Web site designers have not always read the IETF RFC for tel urls. Neither are they always familiar with telephone numbering conventions. All things considered this have the potential to be a very useful app.
  • (2018-09-03) Wade Menard: Works well once I realized it has the admin password hard-coded as "admin". If you've changed the admin password on the phone it won't work.
  • (2018-08-17) Alex M: Does not work for me --- where do I set the password of the phone? (i Use GXP2160)
  • (2018-08-02) Kaushal Kumar: This extension works as intended. I use this all the times and its very handy. Developers must add option to switch between the active lines before placing a call..
  • (2018-02-17) Mike Daniels: Tested this out on a GXP2160 and couldn't get it working at first but after enabling the "Click to Dial" option under Settings/Call Features in the phone's web menu it immediately worked.
