This extension automatically converts all downloaded pictures with the .jpeg or .jfif file extension to the .jpg file extension.

If you download a file that has the extension .jpeg or .jfif, this will automatically rename it to a .jpg extension instead. Note that clicking the button in the Chrome bar doesn't do anything - this works completely in the background with no user interaction required.

- As of July 14, it does a wonderful job at converting Twitter images to .jpg, though it now defaults to the Downloads folder, which some people will find annoying. Fix this, and the extension will be wonderful

- As of March 30th 2024, it's working for me and does what it says it does. Especially useful since certain sites to not be named force jfif nonsense now and other apps don't automatically display jfifs like they do for other image formats. Converting the files individually or even having to get another app to do it en masse is a lot more effort than just using this.

- Pretty good but really needs an update to remember what folder you're in when you're saving images. Plugin will take you to your downloads folders each time you save an image. Very tedious having to navigate to my pictures subfolders over & over again.

- Does what it says effortlessly, but conflicts with the browser remembering the last folder you downloaded to, always sending you back to whatever folder you have set for downloads by default. This severely hampers workflow when saving multiple images at once.

- Works well, but conflicts with the "Save In" extension. I think I'll need an alternative solution. Adding support for automatic conversion of AVIF files would be a great addition.

- It fixed my problem. JFIF files now save as JPG files ^^ You should just add a popup when people click on the icon in the toolbar on the top right. That way they can see it works properly. If nothing happens when the icon is clicked they might thing the addon is broken. You can also leave a message there just telling people how it works without needing pop ups in the main area.
