This extension automatically converts all downloaded pictures with the .jpeg or .jfif file extension to the .jpg file extension.

If you download a file that has the extension .jpeg or .jfif, this will automatically rename it to a .jpg extension instead. Note that clicking the button in the Chrome bar doesn't do anything - this works completely in the background with no user interaction required.

- (2023-03-15) Dave S.: Pretty good but really needs an update to remember what folder you're in when you're saving images. Plugin will take you to your downloads folders each time you save an image. Very tedious having to navigate to my pictures subfolders over & over again.
- (2022-06-10) Jamie Lee: Does what it says effortlessly, but conflicts with the browser remembering the last folder you downloaded to, always sending you back to whatever folder you have set for downloads by default. This severely hampers workflow when saving multiple images at once.

- (2021-10-21) Glen Charles Rowell: It fixed my problem. JFIF files now save as JPG files ^^ You should just add a popup when people click on the icon in the toolbar on the top right. That way they can see it works properly. If nothing happens when the icon is clicked they might thing the addon is broken. You can also leave a message there just telling people how it works without needing pop ups in the main area.

- (2020-04-15) Gualtiero Trucco: Una volta intallata l'estensione su CROME funziona in backgraund e te ne puoi scordare perchè in automatico trasforma ogni formato JFIF o JPEG di cui stai facendo il download in un JPG: così non hai più problemi di compatibilità. Ottimo Programma. Grazie allo sviluppatore!

- (2020-01-31) Alison Gaunt: Great - works well, has saved my photobook!. No instructions with it and no visible signs it's there which is a bit confusing. However I just emailed the jfif photos to myself, then open the pictures one at a time. Right click on the image, select "Save as..." and give it a name when prompted, and it appears, transformed to jpeg, on my downloads. Very grateful to the guy that wrote the product.
