This is purely a proof of concept, repository for the code here: https://github.com/chpmrc/zero-width-chrome-extension. Whoever leaves a bad review because of missing features or similar stuff simply ignores that this is a PET project, published on this store merely for CONVENIENCE (i.e. to avoid having to clone the repository etc.). Christ, people, get a life.

Always need to click button, to see zero width characters

I loaded this on a Mac, and spent ten minutes trying to make it work. Turns out it does not replace the characters unless you go up to the plugin, and ask it to do the replace operation. This is not useful, as I will never remember to do that. I loaded chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/detect-zero-width-charact/icibkhaehdofmcbfjfpppogioidkilib, and it worked as one would expect (ie, warn you up front without having to do extra work.) I appreciate the effort, and wish there was some way to email directly my concerns.

Great idea, but please add some more funcionality. - Auto-detect zero and then display a liddle notification (I dont think about that when Im copying text. Its musle memory) -Maybe choose what emoji/text is used

Well that was fast. I guess you read the same hackernews thread. This is honestly a very fun utility. My only complaint is you can't change what is displayed without modifying the code. A feature where you could choose how to display the zero-width chars like as a bracketed charcode or as another character would be cool

I like it, but I'd like to see it on a website that has actually injected these hidden characters. Also, how do I know that's done anything? What if the page already has the emojis that the extension converts to?
