Hate seeing the same ads over and over again? Hate Twitter / X.com ads in general?
This tool is free, doesn't require signup, and does not track anything you do.
Blocks sponsored/promoted Tweets in several languages, as well as in-app native ads like "Subscribe to Premium" or "Upgrade to Premium+." We want it all gone.

- (2025-06-15) Ali Ridwan: I'll give it 4 star for now cause it's working pretty well for me at the moment. I'll give an update in 1 week.
- (2025-01-29) Travis Chism: Seems to work exactly as it says.
- (2024-09-28) Bilal Güvenç (ide): very well, could be nice to hide images/videos in posts too
- (2024-05-21) Andrew Nosenko: It works again. Thank you the author, a must-have!
- (2024-05-17) John M. Porgal: It quit working today, and needs to be updated to fix Elons new update to the core systems that are now on http://X.com
- (2024-04-10) Keith Anderson: It works perfectly. I got so sick of the ads. Thank you!!
- (2024-04-02) Ross Vassev: The only one I've found so far that actually WORKS! Thanx!
- (2024-02-28) Stagskulls: Not jerky or whatever at all... Try test it yourself and see. It works perfect for me. Thank you for your effort. Great extension.
- (2024-02-06) Paul at Appurist: This does exactly what it says. I was going to write such an extension myself but figured someone already had, and sure enough, this has saved me the time. I do NOT see any jerky timelines and suspect that either there was a problem that has since been resolved, or these users had jerky Twitter feeds for other reasons. As a filter, I don't see any reason for it to add any jerkiness, if anything it will smooth it out by filtering heavier ads. Well done to the developer. Twitter is almost usable again. ;)
- (2023-12-12) Chris McGimpsey-Jones: As noted by others, it makes scrolling through the timeline jerky and unusable. I'm left with no choice but to uninstall. If you could fix the problem I'd be happy to reinstall but in its current state it's simple intolerable.
- (2023-11-15) Jamie J (Welsh Git): Unfortunately, this makes the browsing experience extremely jerky and unusable when scrolling though the feed with the cursor down button.

- (2023-08-04) Remy McCabe: Giving a 5 star review as although this is not working right now, that's due to changes at Twitter (it will always be twitter to me) and the dev is looking at it. This highlights just how valuable this tool has been to many of us for a number of years. A big thanks to the author.

- (2023-08-02) Shane Jones: For the Dev: Twitter changed how ads show. They now use the Ad tag rather than the word Promoted. Plugin likely needs a small update to sort this out

- (2023-08-02) Robert Fraser: After years of great service, today I am being inundated by Twitter ads. It makes me appreciate all the annoying ads this extension has saved me from being subjected to. I hope you can find a way to beat the ads again. If not, I may just stop using Twitter entirely.
