• (2023-09-11) Chris Christopher: I prefer the McSpeedy bookmarklet since it lets me use a slider to find the optimal speed to watch a speaker. I can go from 0.25x with 0.25x increments beyond 3x to 3.5x and 4x and even to 16x if I want to skip over boring parts of shows.

• (2023-07-17) Sam Hughes: I'm on the verge of removing this plugin, because of how annoying it is to comment on youtube videos. You can't configure it or selectively enable different options, so it's both 3x speed and the other weird, undesired functionality, or else just dealing with Youtube's 2x speed. Clearly the author does not comment on videos much. The plugin includes the ability to tap a number key N, and jump to that N/10th of the video. I have never once intended to invoke this functionality, and I often invoke it accidentally while commenting. I love having the option to 3x through a boring segment or to just see if there's anything useful in a video or if I like the video, but the presenter is just talking god.awful.laboriously.slow.

• (2023-06-10) Ashish Naik: So, it either doesn't work or the controls are far too confusing as when I followed the instructions outlined in the overview, it simply would not speed up my video; obviously, I was greatly distraught and in tremendous distress. For now I will have to live with a mere 2x speed[ :( ] Any help resolving the issue or a future update will be greatly appreciated :D

• (2018-09-23) Sabreen Sayed: Very good, Just when I type space in the comments it controls the video play/pause instead of typing. Tired of switching it on and off. EDIT: Yes thank you for the fix! :) The app does what it intends to well. As a suggestion, I would love it if you could have speed gradients of 0.5 instead of 1 somehow, or else include the speed x2.5 via another shortcut. I think x2.5 is better for some videos instead of x3.
