Find & Replace for Text Editing

Works perfectly for my need, when editing a text input box, I can select everything, search and replace within what's selected, supports regex, case insensitivity, whole word matching and more. Perfect for my needs! I'm not trying to change text that rendered, but rather text that's free to be entered (like updating a post or commentary or free written text)

Doesn't work with Attlasian's Jira.

This doesn't work. It will look like the text has changed in your boxes, but when you click on the boxes it goes back to the original text. I have just wasted a bunch of time because I thought it was working but none of the text was actually replaced.

Love the extension, my only issue is that if I use it with a street like "36th Ave" it changes it to "36 Th Ave" which is a bit of an inconvenience.

Perfect for eBay listing edits. Want to add , remove, or edit a large number of listing titles at once, this can do that.

Google Chrome disabled this useful extension for me on an update so it is requesting new permissions to: "Read and change all your data on all websites". Why is this new permission needed now? It was working fine before. Instead is it possible to grant permission on just the site we wish to use it on when we need to use it?

It replaced dozens of paths in a wiki page with one click. It works in Confluence. What I am missing are shortcuts for the buttons, especially for "replace all".

Great - But Cannot Access Premium Features. Have tried to pay for the premium features but the pay page says that it is not working at the bottom checkout. Tried reloading and resetting my cookies but still no dice. How do we pay for the Premium Features - great plugin but would be 5 stars if the premium bundling features were accessible!

I personally find the extension extremely useful for editing documents that I do on a regular basis. I only have a single issue for it, I really want the ability to bundle together, however anytime I try to purchase premium, it won't let me go through to purchase it. Any help would be great!

Searches as you type, which for very large documents is incredibly slow, takes a ridiculous amount of ram, and basically kills the browser. This extension is unusable for the exact case when it would be most useful.

This is amazing, it's already saved me an hour just today. I wish there was a way to sort the saved searches, but other than that it's perfect.

La seule extension qui a vraiment répondu à mes besoins! J'avais besoin d'utiliser la fonction "Recherche et remplace" sur WordPress entre autres, pour corriger plusieurs paragraphes ou sections de texte à la fois. Le soucis avec WordPress, c'est que chaque paragraphe est un bloc de texte individuel, et toutes les extensions que j'ai pu trouver avant celle-ci m'obligeaient à sélectionner un paragraphe après l'autre pour pouvoir y modifier un (ou des) mot(s)... Celle-ci permet de modifier TOUS les paragraphes d'un coup, et aussi de paramétrer la recherche selon différents critères souhaités.

Tried finding "35.99" on a store with hundreds of products quick-edit mode, and it did not find any of the price fields... it did not work at all, all the extension buttons stayed grayed out.. trying another extension hopefully better luck.

Not sure what happened, but it used to work for, well, finding and replacing. Recently, it finds, it replaces....and the changes would never save. I've tried everything. Pretty much has become a waste for my purposes.

I used it to change text on a WordPress page and I am almost 100% sure it then reverted the changes after. That means it is extremely invasive if it can do that after I have published changes. Very suspicious. Would love to get a reply from the developer. I used the free version to change 400 links on a page from http to https (I also changed 127 from httpss to https). It worked, but then at a later date the page was back how it was before. To have that kind of access to be able to revert changes is very concerning. Is this correct or must there have been a glitch on my end? I tried repeating today and it wouldn't work so I just used Notepad/TextEdit by copy and pasting the whole page code over then back. I can understand the developer wanting money for that many changes, but to allow it, then change the website later as if it was a trial is almost unbelievable to me. Hopefully I am wrong and this isn't how it works, but in case my suspicions are right, this is far too invasive and I am removing it from Chrome.

Having this weird issue where inside an online text editor, it finds the word but then deletes it for some reason instead of replacing it. Would have loved for this work as it will help save me ton of work but can't seem to fix this issue. For example, if I want it to find the term "[Insert date]" and replace it with "{date}" . Instead of replacing "[Insert date]" , it just deletes that value altogether without replacing it.

Had a manual task where we needed to change the domain for 1,000+ users who were having their email addresses updated. Unfortunately the system (Jira) does not have a built-in bulk editor, and our automated attempts left us with unexpected errors. So manual was the path, but this extension allowed us to use search and replace for the domains instead of just cut and paste. Greatly sped up the process and reduced errors. Don't know that I'll have a reason to use it again, but worked great this time.

I give it 3 starts because it works on some websites. I've tried reloading the page and incognito mode as you can see in the video but its not working.
