Block all of that distracting sidebar stuff in the excellent Stack Exchange network.
This is a Google Chrome extension that cleans up some of the cruft from the otherwise excellent Stack Exchange pages. The idea for the extension came about as I started my first job as a web developer and, subsequently, came to spend more and more of my day scanning Stack Overflow, Server Fault, Ask Ubuntu, &c. I became increasingly distracted by the sidebar links, which may have had to do with all of the coffee I drink. Rather than just popping open the browser console to individually hide the modules on especially jittery days, I decided to just write an extension to block them all of the time.

Dear Chris, Thank you again for enabling four more years of blissful productivity for me and your other lucky users. If I could persuade you to come once more into the breach to block the "Featured on Meta" and "Hot Meta Posts" in the sidebar with class s-sidebarwidget, we will all cheer in the most unironic, non-Meta way. Thanks again for your kind consideration.
- (2015-02-20, v:0.0.2) Michael Decerbo: more nonsense to block
Dear SE Block developers, I was reminded today how much I LOVE your extension and how grateful I am that it blocks the distracting nonsense in the SE sidebar. Unfortunately the reminder came in the form of some new distracting nonsense. Can you please, please, pretty please update the extension to block the div with class "everyonelovesstackoverflow" in the sidebar? It is subjecting me to more infuriating questions from idiots on meaningless subjects, and seriously harshing my mellow. Thanks so much for your consideration.
