• (2025-06-01) PX Primary: This addon is essential for any medium to heavy YouTube users regardless of subscription status. There are SO MANY garbage channels, many of them are AI Generated content and voice these days. Being able to quickly block the entire channel is so nice. YouTube will likely never add this functionality so relying on tools like this one is our only option!
• (2025-05-29) s f: Seems to work for blocking videos and channels but is lacking UI to manage what has been blocked. The option is actually there but is not easy to find. Once you blocked a channel or a video you'll find it in the managing interface which comes in the form of a text with comment and the ID of the channel or the video. The comment will help you track what's what as it will have the channel or video name and the date in which was blocked, but you will ba unable to search by channel name or video, search by date and similar since isn't using a database of any kind that could then be queried and worked with to display entries in a manageable UI, it just uses a text file which might be ok when one has blocked a few channels or videos, but in time the text will become very messy and inefficient to work with when needing to find something or even if verify if something was blocked or not. I'll take it over nothing but needs improvements to turn it into a tool usable for more than a small number of blocked entries.

• (2025-05-24) Nick Cage: Blocks ALL Youtube shorts FROM FRICKIN' SHOWING UP in your search results (since Google is lame and STILL hasn't made this a "filter" option). It's 2025 and Google can't make this a daum filter option. Just check the little box inside BlockTube's settings ("Block Youtube Shorts videos") to disable or enable them from showing up. May 24th 2025 works 100%!!!!! Exactly what I needed. Thank you so much to whoever made this extension...

• (2025-03-10) Lily: Works perfectly for me, blocks anything I need it to- a question for the developers or anyone who sees this, is there any way to lock turning off an extension on opera gx? The only fault I have with this is that I will sometimes turn it off when my brain compels me to see what various blocked channels are up to and if I could mitigate that it would work perfectly. As it currently functions though, exactly what it promises!

• (2025-03-03) I love eating Cheetos: Blocking channels/ids, and other features you can use while navigating the site (note : not watching videos) works perfectly fine. The issue is that once you click on a video you tube will recognize it as an adblocker and not let you watch any videos making it feel almost unusable. I hope this gets fixed, this was my first time trying it, will continue to check up on it bc I love the features it offers.

• (2025-03-01) ScottHall GV: March 1st 2025 Most of the functionality of this extension is no longer working on edge. All context menus are now missing although it seems "shorts" are still being blocked. Hopefully this is updated soon, this extension is invaluable to my sanity :D
• (2025-02-23) stephen wong: it can filter all the short video from youtube, but after activated the plugin, it will make adblock(installed 3 different adblock) not longer able to block the ads from youtube, after dis-activate the blocktube, the ad block is working again

• (2025-02-06) Jukka Kovalainen: Doesn't currently work but when it does and this is not by design of BlockTube but because Youtube just messes things up for third party apps. BlockTube is incredibly good so I can block content creators that are just toxic and the same with all the AI-generated garbage that algorithm is spamming.
