Extension which provides offline mode for Chrome.
Extension that allows a Chrome to be put in offline mode or allow network activity only from the currently active tab. Full offline mode is helpful when resuming a laptop doesn't need to fire up a lot of network requests. Active tab only mode is useful for using Chrome profile with lots of tab on metered network connection to avoid wasting bandwidth on tabs that the user isn't paying attention to.
- (2018-07-06) jason pac: When adding chrome webstore extensions after installing "Offline Mode" Installation gives error "There was a problem adding the item to Chrome. Please refresh the page and try again. Image decode failed". The only way to make installations from chrome webstore possible is by disabling or removing "Offline Mode". Otherwise it is a very useful extension. Update Please.
- (2017-08-24) Jammey Churlick: Was the best offline mode app. Until chrome updated and now all tabs are redirected to about:blank. If you have the time please update. This review is after I disabled all extensions and enabled only this one = culprit. Regards
- (2017-03-18) Jan Killian: Would be great to add ability to make only selected tab offline in the same way the DevTools/Network/Offline switch works. It's superuseful when developing web apps to simulate failed API requests. Using offline button would be be much faster as developer usually wants to stay on other tabs (like Console, Redux, Apollo GraphQL, ...), and switching to Network tab and back is annoying. The interface could be: - Click - on/off this tab - Shift+Click - on/off all tabs - Alt+Click - only active tab online mode on/off
