Open the current web stream with MPV.
IMPORTANT: The "Read and change your data on all the websites your visit" permission is misleading. This permission is used to fetch your cookie information so mpv is able to open private/paywalled videos. If you don't believe me, look at the source code.
Watch with MPV is a chrome extension that allows you to open your current tab in MPV, assuming you have it installed. This extension works with every URL that is supported by youtube-dl.
This extension makes use of a native host. The native host is required to be installed in order for the extension to work properly. This is because of Chrome's extension restrictions.
To install the native host, simply install this extension and click on the icon in the right toolbar, and then click OK on the following popup.

Use it with Chrome on Linux. It works great. It needs some setup though. Read the description carefully.
Fantastic extension. Works fine in windows without install python or other dependencies. You can configure a shortcut to open it without clicking in 'chrome://extensions/shortcuts' Is there a way to map (for example) ctrl +alt + click to open a link with this ext?
not working on 32 bit linux. "native-linux.zip" contains "watch-with-mpv-native-linux" whitch is 64 bit compilled... But I guess the version for windows is 32 bit only...

Excellent if you quickly want to launch a link in mpv. Once set up, doesn't require any further tinkering. It just works. :-)
Excellent! 1. I search for a video on YouTube 2. I do a right mouse click on the link and select mpv 3. The video opens with mpv which uses less resources than playing it in the browser 4. I hit Ctrl + _ on my keyboard to turn off video, keep only sound and save even more resources while on laptop battery! Thank you. :-)
Привет, вопрос по плагину. После проигрывания в процессах остаётся плеер, которые есть оперативную память. Каждый раз как я открываю новое видео, создаётся новый процесс и старый не выгружается. За вечер может накопиться до 10-15 одинаковых процессов с mpv, которые едят от 10-20мб каждый.
