A browser action to rename a tab title based on the URL

Image from store KPRenameTitle
Description from store An extension to automatically rename a tab's title (based on the URL, using regular expressions). This is useful for applications such as KeePass. For example, some sites have a general "Login" page; using this extension, the title can be changed so KeePass's auto-type functionality can be used.

For instance, let's say I am searching Amazon for 'iPhone 5 Case' and am looking at the results tab. The title on the tab is: Amazon.com: iPhone 5S Case This is annoying because: • I know I'm on amazon, because... well, I have eyes. • Even if I wanted to find the tab when it wasn't in front, the favicon helps me. • BUT! If I have multiple amazon tabs open, all I see is "Amazon.com: ..." So, I would like the ability to do something like this: URL: ^http[s]{0,1}://www.amazon.com/.*$ Title: s/^Amazon.com: // Which would result in a new title of: iPhone 5 Case Thoughts? Thank you for your time and effort! meri
  • (2014-04-18, v:1.0.0.76) Gene Chesc: Wildcard character? [REVISITED]
[UPDATED] Digging around The Google further led me to the discovery that "(.+)" without the quotes is the answer I was looking for. Thanks for your great work! [ORIGINAL] You mention using ^ and $ to start and end a line, but is there a wildcard character like facebook.com* or facebook.com% ? Because, when I go to another person's or my own facebook page (not the main page/wall), http://facebook.com/myusername, the title is not renamed by your app.
