- (2017-08-07) Riitta Viitamäki: has a pop-up ad to start an unknown service for free. I am not going to try any unknown services. Smart-copy has to be uninstalled, it is useless because the pop-up can not be skipped.
- (2017-05-31) Magnus Eriksson: Should be used with care - copying from unreliable web trees is dangerous. But especially the consistency check feature may improve the tree quality substantially. Please check the "About" field of the Geni profiles for sources before and after updating, and after merging matches.
- (2016-01-11) Dan C.: An excellent tool for use with Geni.com. Be sure to check location details, as "source" pages are often ambiguous, and the SmartCopy tool can't always tell which of multiple locations are intended.
