An easy-to-use and interactive tool that offers a personalised view into future savings. A $100 dress that you buy today means that a future you might be giving up $1,000 or more – depending on how far away from retirement you are. If, instead of spending it right now, you put $100 in your super account, it would accumulate every year until you retire. Our calculator converts the current prices on any website to the future value of the money that you are really giving up. This way, you are able to see the direct impact of today’s spending on your future account as a retiree. In other words – this is what Future You can save!
After you download and add the browser extension, an icon appears in the toolbar. The configuration page lets you define your current age and age at retirement. Next, the algorithm picks up dollar values on the website and converts them, using your input data, into future prices. Those prices are then displayed on the page.
