  • (2023-03-25) guillaume de nacquard: I love it on chrome, but it doesn't work on Arc Browser... If you could fix that, it'd be amazing!
  • (2023-03-02) Doug Cloud: I deduct two star, because of a very annoying issue. I like having tabs in a certain order, but when I use this extension it works but it also brings the tab to the front. Unfortunately because of this I will have to find another solution.
  • (2022-09-20) Graecyn K.: Does EXACTLY what I wanted it to do, and no unnecessary bells and whisltes.
  • (2022-05-26) Jonathan Elkins: Great tool. Works as advertised. For those of you having tab "issues" like I thought I was nite that the position is relative to the current open tabs not to the setting in the extension's options. I would like pinned tabs to open relative to each other as declared in the options not relative to whatever is open currently. If the extention did that then site 1 would always be left of 2 which would always be left of 3...etc but this is not how this extension was designed. It's still great.
  • (2020-02-11) Rayna Kuzio: Pins and unpins tabs by a quick-click of the blue PIN icon on the extensions toolbar. There are also a bunch of advanced option settings you can adjust (for example: you can pick the positioning of a tab once it's been unpinned), among others . . .
  • (2019-03-26) Sir Gregory: Pinned tabs still not persistent. Looks like support for this has ended.
  • (2019-01-01) Tyreese King: Really helped as my right click doesn't work
  • (2018-11-05) Theo Moolenaar: This is an excellent little extension that I would gladly give 5 stars were it not for a couple of frustrating and inhibiting bugs. Firstly, the tab index feature does not work for me. It used to work although stopped functioning several weeks ago, I presume due to a bad update. Secondly, it does not always remember tab rules and seems sometimes to forget all the rules I have added. As a side-note, it would be great to see a future feature whereby settings for this extension are synced across different devices running Google Chrome through your Google account. I am not sure if this is possible however so it is nothing more than an idea. If these bugs are ironed out, this will be a genuinely useful extension and one that I will undoubtedly continue to use.
  • (2018-05-21) Greg M: So arcane to use manual entry when right-click on tab or simply click on extension icon could do the same job instantly. Yes, it works as stated. But... And worse of all, you can close a pinned tab w/ ctrl-w. Opera browser figured this simple issue out long ago.. i.e. you cannot close a pinned tab without unpinning it. Pinning is (should be) more than about making it small. It should protect. Yes, this works as stated.
  • (2017-11-13) Donna Dowling: On my PC, using Chrome the pinned tabs stay pinned, even after a crash or browser shutdown. Using Chrome on my Pixelbook they only stay pinned until I close the browser. When I reopen it, they're gone. Fix this and it's 5 stars for sure.
  • (2017-06-12) Jonathan Schoreels: Would have put 5 stars if there was some sync / backup mechanic to avoid to lose all my settings :)
  • (2017-04-04) Doc Heinz: perfect!
  • (2017-02-21) Andomeda D: Interferes with gmail.com . Gmail does not open on https
  • (2017-02-11) Simon Hall: Works perfectly.
  • (2016-10-25) Alaska Haze: So far this has worked perfectly to maintain seven pinned tabs across browsing sessions. Thanks!
  • (2016-08-21) Alex Williamson: Excellent, exactly what you would expect from an auto-pin add-on. Really great work. Thanks!
  • (2016-07-07) Karl Gingerich: Would be 5 stars if rules where persistent. They seem to disappear after some period of time or maybe after logging out and in again.
  • (2016-06-16) Danielle Fowler: The rules are what make this app great. Saves so much time!
  • (2016-05-06) Works as expected. a MUST HAVE ;)
  • (2016-03-23) Needs some sort of export tool, preferably to Chrome Sync. Other than that it does what you'd expect from it.
  • (2016-01-17) Caleb Cox: Chrome seemed to have removed the "Open as pinned tab" option for apps, but I love that this extension gives us that functionality back!
  • (2015-10-02) Luca Gentile (Cyclorbit): SIMPLE, EFFECTIVE, WORKING! The interface is simple, you just add the url that you want to keep pinned all the time and their position. This is such a time-saver extension!

  • (2023-04-26, v:1.3.3) · Michael Medina: Doesn't respect the tab index number
sometimes it gets some of the tabs in the right order but mostly not and it seems random, there is no other extension that is working right now that has this functionality a fix would be appreciated
  • (2023-03-04, v:1.3.3) l p: AutoPin option on right click
Hello, AutoPin for firefox was easier to use for me, as it supported right click to give you option set rules very quickly - Auto pin "https://ww.kobo.com/de/en/search?query= [blah blah] - Auto pin "https://www.kobo.com/*" Source code for that extension in ffx available here: github.com/coolsoft-ita/autopintab If we could make setting the rules for this chrome extension as simple, 1 click, that would be awesome. Thankyou
  • (2022-12-28, v:1.3.3) NYGriego 74 (NYGriego74): Pin All Tabs?
Is there a way to pin all tabs with one click? It would be a nice and quick feature instead of doing them one by one if I need to work quickly.
  • (2022-03-29, v:1.3.3) Hannah Curtis: Not pinning
My rules are no longer pinning any of my tabs after upgrading my pc. I assume there's some setting wrong in chrome or my computer, but I can't find it. It could also be an incompatibility issue.
  • (2020-11-26, v:1.3.3) Sene Senethril: I search quickly all ways to be sure your plugin is working in any situations
I want retrive same fantastic behavior but on every tab without exception, there are many undesired crosses to close the tab cause they are first opened as unlocked in situations: -New tab from unknow origin and outside. -New tab in chrome style tab inside, see protocol chrome ://? (maybe not important) -Certainly others ? Idea is to be sure no tab can be close by something else than ctrl+w, so it could happend at least but not by the x on the tab. THX its brillant
  • (2018-10-07, v:1.3.2) Fico Prieto: Feature Request: Pin Selected Tabs
The ability to pin all selected tabs via the "Pin Tab" hotkey would improve this plugin and also meet the expectations set by Chrome's native tab functionality. EG: pressing "Ctrl + W" while multiple tabs are selected closes all of the selected tabs.
  • (2018-06-09, v:1.3.2) Karl Baines: pinning EVERY tab
what expression can I use to pin EVERY tab; no matter how opened? thanks
  • (2017-12-27, v:1.3.2) Kyle Clarke: Tabs not pinning?
Looks like tabs have stopped pinning after a chrome upgrade? I'm running Version 63.0.3239.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Mac OS El Capitan. There was a suggestion/request around whether this project was public on github/gitlab? I wouldn't mind helping where I can - even thinking about sync'ing machines over recreating. Thanks
  • (2017-12-20, v:1.3.2) Alberto Bartoli: Does not pin tabs
    Tabs pinned as specified by the rules; Split tabs between two windows; Tabs become all unpinned;
  • (2017-12-20, v:1.3.2) S: Open links in existing pinned tabs
I'm not sure if this is possible with the available Chrome APIs but it would be awesome if it would intercept links clicked and if they pass the regex for any of the pinned tabs, it should focus that tab and navigate to that URL rather than opening a new tab or going to the link in the current nonpinned tab. This way, you can ensure that your pinned tabs are always the same and stay in the app that they are supposed to. For example, if you had facebook set to tab 1, and you opened a link to a facebook post from tab 5, it should focus tab 1 and go to the link instead of opening a new facebook tab, or going to facebook in tab 5.

Saving only save for the current machine (unless I'm missing something). I use MANY computers on a regular basis and would REALLY like to save the settings Globally so when switching to a new computer, I don't have to set the pinned tabs up all over again. Thank you!
  • (2017-03-31, v:1.3.2) Samer Patel: Avoid tabs from sleeping?
Hello Developer, I'm wondering what you might know about Chrome and or ChromeOS regarding how inactive tabs (unfocused tabs) might or might not be put into a sort of "sleep" mode automatically after a period of not being used. Are you aware of any recent update by Chrome regarding this? Does Chrome put certain tabs to sleep? I'm looking for a way to ensure a specific tab stays alive in order to ensure it can still perform various actions in the background while the user is actively surfing and using other tabs.
