The issue I'm reporting happens so infrequently that I haven't witnessed a pattern. It happens whether I'm using my home or office wi-fi, or even via Ethernet cable. Chrome is fully up to date on a Win10 Pro box. I am typically not a heavy user--if I save a dozen profiles in a day, that's surprising. But it's always a few profiles in a flurry of activity. Periodically when using the app, it spawns an endless series of Save As windows. It forces me to close Chrome via the Task Manager, while of course littering my desktop with tons of provisional files. I'm happy to provide whatever other technical information I can in order to help troubleshoot.
