• (2023-07-07) Jakub Kotrs: The checked gets stuck every now and then, showing a badge with number, but clicking it doesn't do anything. I have to unpin it from the bar and pin it again to refresh it, then clicking opens gmail again and badge disappears. Mildly annoying.

• (2023-06-12) Jim Fath: Does what it says but, several times a month, it will simply stop working. Nothing will happen when you click the icon. In those instances, you have to RIGHT CLICK, select MANAGE EXTENSION and turn off the ext then turn it back on. It SHOULD start working again. This started happening a few year back and has never been addressed.
• (2023-06-02) Fernando Ribeiro: Uso a extensão há tempos, gosto muito, mas agora ela está atualizando erroneamente o número de e-mails. Mostra cerca de 50 e-mais não lidos a mais do que realmente tem. Já reinstalei mas continua bugado, não sei como solucionar.
• (2023-05-31) José Miguel Valverde: Si no os funciona, haced clic en los tres puntitos de la esquina superior derecha del navegador, vais a "Más herramientas" y después hacéis clic en "Extensiones". Buscáis la extensión Google Mail Checker y en su caja, hacéis clic en el botón de la esquina inferior derecha para que se deslice a la derecha y se desactive. Volvéis a hacer clic en este botón para que se active de nuevo, y ya os tiene que funcionar otra vez.
• (2023-05-25) Christian: Seit einigen Monaten gibt es das Problem, dass die Erweiterung plötzlich nicht mehr funktioniert. Das Symbol rechts oben zeigt keine neue Email an, wenn man drauf klickt passiert nichts. Wenn man die Erweiterung in den Optionen aus und wieder anmacht geht es wieder. Das war früher nicht so. Ansonsten super Erweiterung ohne die ich nicht mehr Leben will.

• (2023-02-07) Rickard B: I've used this extension for I don't even know how many years and it was working greate for me until about a year or so ago. The email counter seems to be a little slow now but it does update, but pressing the button and my email being opened entirely depends on which computer I am using at the time. It didn't work when I had windows 10 installed on my desktop PC but it does with Windows 11, it doesn't work on my Windows 10 personal laptop, it does work on my Windows 10 work laptop, on my mac it works about 5/10 times but requires me to restart chrome when it doesn't which isn't very productive... Quickly close the program, restore session and the press the button Vs. typing "mail.g" in the address bar. (I'd say the latter is prefereable right now) I hope this extension gets some TLC soon or I may need to look at alternatives.

• (2023-01-02) Asher Langton: Used to be great, but now this extension stops working several times a day. Restarting the browser or disabling/reenabling the extension fixes the problem temporarily. It's a bad look for Google that their own extension for their own email service on their own browser doesn't work correctly.

• (2021-11-05) Christopher Burdett: It's so simple that it has no choice but to 'just work' ... and it does. It shows the number of unread emails. You click it and it takes you there. So far so good. It's not perfect though. Sticklers for detail will soon notice that sometimes you do have to reset the notifications manually though, by clicking it again after you've checked your mail to make the badge notifications go away. Things I would like to see: Given that it is apparently published by Google itself, you'd think that the logo would be updated by now. The ability to switch Gmail accounts straight from the extension icon itself would also be a good addition.
