Я и так могу просто в элементах браузера посмотреть какие у них стили там дефолтные. Нужно определение фонта с клиентской стороны, а не серверной, так что в помойку. В теории можно посмотреть фонт если зайти на какой то "пустой ресурс", вообще без стилей и без всего чисто index.html c пустым инпутом куда вставить текст и возможно эта штука что-то определит, но я не уверен даже и в этом.

Then open again WhatFont extension and click the same "this can read and change site data" for second time 5. Click the first top bullet "when you click this extension". Then a popup message will appear and click "Reload" 6. After the website reload. Click on the WhatFont again. And there's a small labelled "Exit WhatFont". Then you can enjoy hover the text and the type of font will appear. Wish you luck and enjoy use this extension. Very handful!!

Even if I pin to taskbar, it's not as accessible as it would be via right click on the page. Uninstalled and installed "Find Font" instead

Previously, I had to go through rigamarole: clicking F12 and digging through the source code. It was difficult because I had no idea what I was doing. Using the WhatFont extension is so easy! Click it and hover over the text on the page. That's it. It also displays the font weight, size, and even the color (so helpful). I highly recommend this extension to anyone wanting to know what fonts are used on websites.

Also since last update I see the colors in rgb code format instead of HEX.   the logo of the what font extension is pretty dark and i easily gets vanished in the dark mode of chrome inside the chrome extension quick click menu at the top right section of the browser i had a small suggestion that if the developpers could add a slight white outline to the logo then at least it would look a bit highlighted and not get vanished in the browser nav bar color. i like the logo but if it just had a 1px wide white outline then it would have been nicer to distinguish... otherwise just making the background completely light gray or some other material themed color other than black or blackish grey would be nicer . thank you i am waiting for the response to my suggestion it would really make a big change...best of luck to the team

  I have been using WhatFont for years and it's not working the past few weeks, hence I uninstalled it. It stopped working like it used to be. If I click at the icon on the top, it will only show the dropdown to go to a webpage/Options/Remove. The behavior changed completely and I couldn't "turn on". On top of that, my default search bar all of a sudden changed from google to yahoo and other malware search site. This behavior stopped once I uninstalled this plugin. Took me awhile to figure out because I have been using it the longest time and it's the last plugin I disabled. Your code may have security issue.
