  • (2022-09-07) John C: Chrome: 104.0.5112.102 Windows: 10 Pro 21H2 (build 19044.1889) Is it just me, or did the extension stop working after some recent Chrome update? I just opened it after a few weeks without using it, and although all the features appear to be present (editing, libraries etc.) the *preview* doesn't show *anything*. It remains completely blank at all times, and inspecting the underlying iframe shows just empty <head></head><body></body> tags. As an experiment I tried in incognito mode (to check if some other extension was interfering), but no joy. Or rather, no preview :-)

  • (2022-04-26) Vince Aggrippino: WebMaker is an excellent tool, but I'm not sure an extension is even necessary. As stated on WebMaker's home page, the Web App is "Recommended: Works Offline! More features. More fun!" There's no perceptible difference between loading https://webmaker.app/app and the Chrome extension, but factors such as network connection speed *might* affect the experience. I suspect maintenance and updates are easier on the Web version than they are on the Chrome extension version. The "Replace New Tab Page" option doesn't work.

  • (2021-06-01) Matt: By far one of the best most underrated extensions since the inception of extensions. I hope it is still supported. Several github issues have gone untouched and still exist today. Some troublesome ones like scss not processing the css. I dread using codepen given its memory leaks and slow processing time. Something webmaker hasn't fallen victim too.

    Firstly, thank you for the amazing and a very useful extension. It works like a charm. I was wondering if a support for templates is possible? Just like the one in codepen. I don't always start my project from scratch, there's some boilerplate code that I copy paste each time. So, an option to start with a template would be great. What do you think? Also, if you need some help developing this feature, I'm ready to help. :)

    Hi, I have noticed that when we add many folders(like 10 or more) there isn't a scroll bar in the file explore. Even though it's very usefull to use right from the browser, I'm a student and I would like to divide the content by subject. So when I createthe folders I can't scroll down to visualize then.     with this extension and developing on a chromebook, do chromebooks com with everything needed on them to work right out of the gate with html, css, and JS? On my PC I have been messing around with various IDEs and get errors like "nodejs runtime environment is not running or installed" so I have to them go out and download that. Played with python, same thing - the IDEs don't come with what is needed to actually have code executed on my computer thus I end up going out and downloading more stuff. Since chromebooks are built to be web type devices and those use HTML, CSS, and JS by default, do I just add your extension and everything else I need is already in chrome OS, or are there more unsaid add-ons that I have to go hunt down?

    weird how it seems to work for most everyone except me lol... the main html and css windows work, meaning i can type stuff and see it in the render window, but nothing else works i try to change to markdown, nothing happens and markdown is not rendered i hit the settings button, nothing happens i try to resize the html/css/js windows but can't... i click on notifications and a small white box shows up that i can't close... i try to 'add library' 'open' 'save' etc but nothing happens... 'edit on copepen' doesn't do anything either... actually, the only buttons that seem to do anything are the layout buttons... too bad cuz this kind of thing is exactly what i'm looking for... i guess i'll keep looking...:(
