Link Control - Adjust the color of your previously viewed links.
No more trying to tell the difference between blue and dark-purple at 2 a.m.
Easily customize the color of your visited links by selecting from a range of predefined colors or choosing your own custom color.
Use the included blocklist to prevent Link Control from running on certain sites, or, if you prefer, use the allowlist to enable Link Control only on certain sites.
Good for users who have a tough time with colors or who are color-blind, as you can choose exactly the color you want for your visited and default (non-visited) links.
For me, I work a lot at night and have a tough time distinguishing those regular blue links from the purple visited links. It started costing me time so I decided I would make this extension to help out myself and others.

Absolutely Wonderful Extension Tool for Data Collection However something can be improved that is its delaying a bit loading time of a websites that sometimes feel annoying ! Despite this, Everything is smooth.
I really appreciate the functionality of Link Control for customizing visited link colors, which is super helpful for visibility, especially at night or for those with color vision challenges. However, I often use extensions like Linkclump or Grabbit to open multiple links at once. Previously, the colors of those links would change after being visited, but with recent Chrome updates, this no longer happens. It would be great if Link Control could address this issue in future updates to ensure compatibility with bulk link-opening extensions. Still, a solid tool for link color customization!

it works perfectly but when i use any cleaner for my pc juck file this link also reset and than its hard to find visited link as i m a story writer so i need some refrence so if this tool can sync online or some kind than i can pay for this its amazing

Yeah, finally one of "visited links" extensions that works perfectly. As far as i know, this is the only one that works with YT links, including YT notification links and recommended video list.
Works very well - EXCEPT. on a website I access often it changes the color of the text.

I can confirm with Gerasim, I watched me spare Laptop update Chrome from Version 130.0.6723.70 to Version 130.0.6723.92. And right away Link Control stopped working.

Updated to 2.0.5 on 29Oct and extension stopped working. Link colors not changed.
Doesn't seem to work on the Brave Search engine at https://search.brave.com . Any work-around?
It does exactly what it promises to do. Very good. You can use Blocklist for sites where you want to keep default colors.
You have to 'pin' the extension to the extension area and then you can click on it's icon to find the settings. Working now. Still a great extension. A recent update april 2024 broke my experience for a couple of days, all my purple links became red, but now I got it working again.

It worked so well for years, all of a sudden not now on chrome. What's wrong????? I might try to remove it, then reinstall it, but I doubt that will help. Developers, can you help???

I am having an issue in Chrome on most sites, but not all sites all the time. I have used this extension for years with no issues until recently (. I don't understand why it wont even work in the extension store or other google based pages now. I am really not sure what has changed so prevent what was an awesome tool from continuing to stay awesome, but I am forced to have to try another developer's extension to see if it is a problem with the general functionality within Chrome settings or if it can be isolated to an issue with just Link Control. Please let me know if you have changed code that is where the issue is based. Thank you.

I just installed this and it feels like a miracle! I could not find any setting in Chrome or Windows that would let me change the color of visited links. Wish I had found this sooner. Thank you for making this!!! Now visited links are a totally different color, like they always were until recently. I thought that was a basic requirement for browsing and can't believe I had to add something so fundamental to the browser.

Thank you for this nice tool. Could you please add a option "apply to default link style only"? Sometimes websites use white text links with background (like a button) and that background can be the same as my selected color. Awesome in order to better see which links you have already visited. @all: Note that the extension only changes the color. How long visited links are remembered depends only on the browser.

Does not work at all for me in Chrome. Clicking color chooser dots does nothing. Entering a #... hex color does nothing.
