Hotplate localhost SOCKS proxy setup

Helpful extension, thanks! Please, make switching a proxy on/off without context menu, just pressing the extension button on a toolbar.

Limited to localhost only, no ability to change host. Please add this feature.

Super simple. Just I needed. Maybe it will be good to add ability to change server host (e.g to use proxy on your router), but nothing more should be added.

Not working on Chrome 87.0.4280.88/Windows 10. Installed, configured, enabled, but not working. Natively there is no 'SOCKS' proxy on Windows, I hoped this extention could help, but no. It cannot.

Flawless. Writing this review during COVID-19 lockdown. My company's VPN is getting hit really hard and anything we can do to stay off of it is helpful. We also keep a host available with ssh exposed publicly (public key auth only). So I use that host as an ssh SOCKS proxy and this extension makes it so much easier. Without it, it's super clunky to turn the proxy on/off as needed as well as getting Chrome configured to push dns over the proxy as well.

Simple to setup and works very well.

a direct solution for the single most annoying feature in chrome: changing that god damned proxy setting. i don't have the time to dig through thousands of settings! what do i look like to you? a settings traversing robot with no life of his own? no! i need that proxy changed and i need it changed fast. quick. snap snap. on, off. on, off. thankfully this plugin was invented. now i can calm down and my family also appreciates it when i come home less angry than usual. my pets are coming near me again.
